Who has the best defence of the EPL? I believe it is either Man U or Chelsea and also who do you believe is the best goalkeeper in the EPL?

This season it would be Birmingham with the best defense so far and their keeper Maik Taylor has the most clean sheets of the goalkeepers in the EPL.

But i think the best keeper in the EPL currently Cudicini from Chelsea or Howard from Man United - both are pure class.

Ohhh what a thriller it was, watching Wayne Bridge and Ashley Cole battle it out for their national position in front of Sven. Had we have won, I'd have been prepared to say that Bridge was looking the goods, but I think the final result will see Cole reclaim the left back role. I must say though, a very stellar set of performances by both men on the weekend.

For the record, WHAT THE HELL WAS RANIERI THINKING PLAYING MELCHOIT AT CENTRE-BACK? You are an ***-clown Claudio. Even an unfit Marcel Desailly and William Gallas could've done a better job than that. Poor Cudicini was victimised by a mistake that would not have even existed if our centre-backs weren't caught out for the last goal (ok, and props to Berghkamp for the quick thinking).

Bah, bring on Lazio (and bring back John Terry already)!

I reckon that Johnson lad showed some promise. A bit rough around the edges but he worked really hard and played with plenty of confidence. That Huth guy (I think that was his name - 19yo German kid playing centre back with Mario) had his moments but also had a tendency to go missing at times.

I agree about Melchiot, he tried hard but was a bit out of his depth in the centre of defense.

Man Utd have the best defence. 3 goals in 9 games says it all really.

At the moment the best keeper is Cudicini, despite his clanger against the Arse. But Howard is looking very, very impressive. The only small defect I can see in his game is he is uncomfortable coming out for the high ball when there is a crowd ahead of him. But he has a long time ahead of him to fix that up.
