Whitehaven or Castleford? Or who?

Also, what were to happen if, Doncaster did win entry to SL, then there would be two clubs paying as the Dragons?...

Essentially 3 new clubs, Catalans, Nl1 Winner and Harliquins (kind of)...

I am hoping that whitehaven win, allthough Castleford would bring good crowds to the game. Hull KR are still in with a chance too.

NL1 Table - copied from RL&LE newspaper:
(Current after Round 12 - about six rounds to go?)

Castleford 11-1 22
Whitehaven 10-2 20
Hull KR 10-2 20
Halifax 7-5 14
Doncaster 6-6 12
Rochdale 5-1-6 11
- - - - -
Oldham 3-1-8 7
Batley 3-9 6
Featherstone 2-2-8 6
Barrow 1-11 2

For mine any of the top three could come through on the day, but I guess anyone making the finals is some chance.

Also the league has given each club specific criteria it needs to address by August 31 if it intends seeking promotion should it win the final. Changes to grounds, things like that.

I would assume that Cas (ex-SL) and Whitehaven (deemed eligible last year) should meet this criteria? And not sure if Hull KR has planned for it yet? But nothing's guaranteed....

Rochdale beat Halifax in the final minute this weekend. And Oldham got up against Hull KR?

So it's looking more like a battle between Cas and Whitehaven for pomotion come finals time...

Actually Doncaster beat Whitehaven today 30-20 *edit - scrap that, heard the score the wrong way around * , and Cas lapped relegation bound Barrow 76-12.

So Cas now *2* points clear, new table tomorrow. But that doesn't count for anything once the finals are on...

The next 2 weeks will be crucial.

Whitehaven v castleford this weekend in cubria

Then the next week its Hull KR vs Whithaven in Hull and Castleford v Halifax
