The poll pretty much says how I feel. I voted Buffon, with Kahn and Cudicini not far behind.

But if Howard continues the way he is going...

Buffon by a long way.

And although I may be slightly biased, young Paul Robinson will become one of the best in Europe one day (discounting his howler against the scousers last weekend!!!). I just hope he's still at Leeds when he does. A great shot stopper and one of the best distributors of the ball I've ever seen.

Robinson has disappointed me over the last 18 months or so. I had huge wraps on him when he first broke into the Leeds team, but he doesn't seem to have improved at all since then. But he's still only young (23 isn't he?), so he's got a long time ahead of him.

On form this year, Tim Howard has probably taken his title of the best young keeper in the EPL.

He has been the only player that has shone at Elland Road over the past season and a half. I shudder to think what our goals against tally would have been without him in nets. If you had the 'misfortune' of following Leeds home and away like I do you'd see how good a keeper he is becoming. He is top notch and to be honest it is one of lifes mysteries that Calamity James is still being picked ahead of him for England(although James has improved over the last few games for England)

I'll echo your views on Howard, who has come from nowhere(ASL!!) to become a very highly rated keeper all around Europe. Maybe Man Ure have finally found their successor to the best keeper from my lifetime, old red nose himself.

Robinson has done very well in a Leeds team which has really been struggling.Currently id say hes up there with the best:
1.Buffon
2.Cudicini
3.Casillas
4.Kahn
5.Robinson

He's the first man since the Great Dane himself who actually inspires confidence in players and fans alike. Barthez has been good for us, but he was always capable of brain explosions that would hit us at the worst time. And before him, with Bosnich and Taibi...well, we all know what has happened with Bozza, and Taibi would be one of the worst goalkeepers that has ever pulled on our jersey.

Howard is big, incredibly athletic, a good shot stopper, reflexes like a cat, and the best natural ball handler I've ever seen. The only weakness I can see in him is that he is uncomfortable coming out for the ball when there is a crowd infront of him, but I'm sure that will improve in time.

He's looking like the bargain buy of the summer.

Hmmm, who was that guy who was virtually the undisputed best goalie of the 90's, and probably in the top 5 of all time? I can't quite remember his name, oh that's right. Peter Schmeichel. Who just happened to play in the EPL. ;-)

I here you mate. As a long time passionate Leeds person, whos heart is breaking at the sight of my club having been driven to the bottom of the pile, Robbo is the only saving grace at that club. It is a joke that James is picked ahead of him for England. This stupid belief that you have to be over 26 to be a good keeper is crap.

Having said that, the Bouff is defeinatly the best gk in the world at the moment.

Look out for Timo Hilderbrand of VFB Stuggart, he looks to have the goods to be one of the best.

Dont discredit him and Stuggart, they went for 802 minutes in the Bundesliga without conceding a goal and I predict in the next few years he will be challenging Oliver Khan and Jens Lehman for the Germain spot.

And I think he is under 25 as well.
