Who is the best Goalkeeper in the world at the current point in time?
Robinson has disappointed me over the last 18 months or so. I had huge wraps on him when he first broke into the Leeds team, but he doesn't seem to have improved at all since then. But he's still only young (23 isn't he?), so he's got a long time ahead of him.suburbanknight said:And although I may be slightly biased, young Paul Robinson will become one of the best in Europe one day (discounting his howler against the scousers last weekend!!!). I just hope he's still at Leeds when he does. A great shot stopper and one of the best distributors of the ball I've ever seen.

On form this year, Tim Howard has probably taken his title of the best young keeper in the EPL.
He's the first man since the Great Dane himself who actually inspires confidence in players and fans alike. Barthez has been good for us, but he was always capable of brain explosions that would hit us at the worst time. And before him, with Bosnich and Taibi...well, we all know what has happened with Bozza, and Taibi would be one of the worst goalkeepers that has ever pulled on our jersey.suburbanknight said:I'll echo your views on Howard, who has come from nowhere(ASL!!) to become a very highly rated keeper all around Europe. Maybe Man Ure have finally found their successor to the best keeper from my lifetime, old red nose himself.
Hmmm, who was that guy who was virtually the undisputed best goalie of the 90's, and probably in the top 5 of all time? I can't quite remember his name, oh that's right. Peter Schmeichel. Who just happened to play in the EPL. ;-)hahaha. if we're talking about the best goalie in the world, i don't know why the epl is even being discussed! go away, you clowns!

He has been the only player that has shone at Elland Road over the past season and a half. I shudder to think what our goals against tally would have been without him in nets. If you had the 'misfortune' of following Leeds home and away like I do you'd see how good a keeper he is becoming. He is top notch and to be honest it is one of lifes mysteries that Calamity James is still being picked ahead of him for England(although James has improved over the last few games for England)
you must've missed the big NOW at the end of the thread titleMad Duck said:Hmmm, who was that guy who was virtually the undisputed best goalie of the 90's, and probably in the top 5 of all time? i think howard would be better if we saw more crazy tourettes shznit from him on the field
