I think if Seijka plays good from now to the end of the year he could be playing FG by next year.

Most of the games we needed to win but lost was because Sammut was on the wing.
As soon as he gets the punt we are are back to winning form.

I think that's a pretty long bow to draw...Sammut played what 3 times on the wing. We beat the Cowboys (Sammut setting up a brilliant try for Tighe down the wing), we got caned by the Sharks down his side (we all blew up), then he played against the Roosters there I think and that ended a write of game with injuries and reshuffling anyway.

I agree with the sentiment though. Put the right players in the right positions and we're already 200% better.

Hopefully by mid 2009 we can have a side resembling this:

1. Coote 2. Gordon 3. Jennings 4. Waddell 5. Lewis 6. Graham 7. Masada/Carney 8. Petero 9. Aiton 10. Grant 11. Pritchard 12. Waterhouse 13. paulo 14. McKendry 15. Blackett 16. Orton 17. Penese 18 Blair 19. Tia Kalifi

Graham.

But I do notice that Graham and Lewis do swap positions throughout the match - I've seen Graham feed the scrum a few times.

I don't like the idea of Iosefa as halfback. Or Lewis or Blair or Priddis or Wesser for that matter. I think those players can chip in and play 5/8 but the primary role of a halfback I think should be left to a specialist half.
We know Graham can play halfback and will only get better at organising and demanding the ball when required. So I'd like him at halfback and Elliott needs to try Iosefa next to him if he isn't going to give Sammut another shot.

From the sounds of it, Sammut is being considered one of the clubs 2 young fullbacks, with Coote obviously ahead of him...rather than a half at all.

Maybe we should experiment a bit.
Perhaps try Coote at halfback or even Bring Aiton up to play halfback.
Just to see how they go.
But i would like to see Sammut come up and play this week if Graham is gone.

Graham isn't a game breaker. Whether that is a good thing or a bad thing is yet to be determined.

If Graham has got a great team around him, then he doesn't need to be a game breaker, but we will have to wait see how the other 16 stack up around him, long term.
