My vote though would go to Smith. He's a class of his own in his grub game and is always the first to cry when something goes against his team. Could not front the media after a loss last week and that to me defines a whinger. Not a captain..

Listening to David marrow when saints lose a game would be like what I imagine listening to skeepe commentate a raiders game. He sounds like kid throwing the toys out of his cot. I'll never forget driving home listening to him commentate the dragons losing to the raiders on a sunday last year. I thought he was going to cry.

As far as players go, I cannot understand the mentioning of Soward or Young, or even Gidley. It just seems some people see a negative word (in this case whinger) and decide to throw around the names of players they dislike, rather than any relevance to the word itself. Always an agenda.
In saying that, I have seen several post match conferences in which Cam Smith has sounded quite whiney. However, the captain and/or coach of a losing team after any match will not be in a good mood and will almost always be interpreted as whinging.
Gus wins this thread by a long way. Brett Stewart and Des Hasler made some ground this year though.
