My top 8 thus far:

Dogs will come good. Lots of people forgetting that last year in the first 8 rounds we lost to storm, souths, manly, knights...very much the same this year - we've been heavily impacted by injuries but we've been in most games. Don't see a 13 in a row streak coming though. Origin won't impact souths as much as the storm so can see them taking out the minor comp. I've been impressed with titans so far so I think they will get in the 8.

Sharks, Broncos, eels, warriors to be in the mix. Think the ASADA thing will impact sharks badly and they will miss out. Broncos don't seem to have the strike power. Eels and warriors to do better than last year

Dragons, tigers, panthers, raiders bottom 4 for mine.

I can't be bothered writing one for each team, so I'll just mention my own.
I'm unimpressed by the Eels so far, but I think there is no question that - aside from the Roosters game and probably the Tigers game - our defence looks a lot sharper this year. The Sharks and Bulldogs admittedly didn't throw too much at us in the second half of each game, but each team had repeated sets on our goal-line numerous times, and we held firm. If it was last season or the year prior, we never would have held on like that.
We look grittier and tougher, basically. Scoring points seems to be more of a problem than last year (oddly, attack wasn't our major issue last year actually) but our playmakers seems to be playing much smarter. Sandow is actively hunting for 40/20s and he has already kicked like three or more this season, and in general he looks a lot sharper.

It could be my extreme bias against Souffs but they look like the Newcastle/Cowboys of 06 to me. Both those sides won their first 6 from memory and the Knights finished 5th I think and Cowboys missed out.

I am surprised that most people on here see the roosters as certainties to make it. I think they will but we are nowhere near the top of the pile at the moment and if the form of Sunday continues we will miss the 8 easily.
