Bulldogs have played at lot of quality sides early. They will beat up on a few get on a roll and should finish well in the 8.

To me there is a widening gap between the really quality sides and the rest.

Manly, Melbourne, Rabbitohs and Dogs would be my top 4 a few others like the Cowboys will be in the bottom of the 8 then teams like the Panthers, Sharks, Eels and Dragons will try to avoid the spoon.

Even taking into account the missing players at the Dogs, they have been really unimpressive. They don't look at all motivated and I very much doubt they'll be part of the top 4.

It could be my extreme bias against Souffs but they look like the Newcastle/Cowboys of 06 to me. Both those sides won their first 6 from memory and the Knights finished 5th I think and Cowboys missed out.

I am surprised that most people on here see the roosters as certainties to make it. I think they will but we are nowhere near the top of the pile at the moment and if the form of Sunday continues we will miss the 8 easily.

Except Knights finished the year before and the year after 2006 down the bottom of the table. That was a flash in the pan season more akin to Rooster's 2010 ;-)
