With Manly signing Luke Brookes and Flanno Snr leaving to become the Dragons coach, Manly no longer remains under threat of being saddled with the ego of Kyle Flanigan on their playing ranks. Kyle rose up the Sharks ranks quickly and was the leading pointscorer in Jersey Flegg but then imploded when he took his ego to the Roosters, and now can't even get picked as halfback for the hopeless Dishlickers.

Kyle might think that Shark Park is "my [his] house", but he burnt his bridges to Cronulla and will never outshine a talent like Nicholas Hynes.

So which club will accept Kyle and his excessive ego?

I'd take him at Penrith in a heartbeat at the right price, he would make a decent 9 in our structure.

Or failing that, the Wallabies. I'm sure the useless Merkin could learn how to box kick, that's amm a Wallabies scrum half needs these days

Coming through the juniors, he was a decent half. Then came several rule changes that influenced how halfbacks play. Then he was never able to adapt.

I think he still has an NRL career somewhere. He's just been hammered since his debut.

This is the thing. Most haven't been paying attention that he has been playing hooker in NSW Cup. He looks a lot better in that role than he does at halfback. Give it an offseason to get his body right for the role, he is a solid defender already, would only be a 3rd option for kicking but handy to have, can goal kick. Not much of a running game, but his passes look pretty good in that position. Needs to learn not to overplay his hand from dummy half, as he likes to be the hero too often. But he does have a future, just not in the halves.
