The Parramatta NRL Club is a company which was set up to run the NRL football operations. It is not owned by the Leagues club but the leagues club appoints the directors, which at the moment happen to be the same as the leagues club. It is not the same as the football club and all 25 NRL squad players and coaching staff are contracted to the Parra NRL company not the Leagues or football club

The Parramatta football club is a sporting menbership club but is only responsible for the running of the NSWRL teams, Premmies, Flegg etc. It's directors are appointed by the football club members. Leagues club members have no rights in the football club. All players outside the 25 man squad are contracted to the football club.

The Leagues club is a comminity membership club and it's directors are voted in by the Leagues club members.

All three are seperate and regardless of what goose Hadley says it was done this way during the SL war primarily to protect the Leagues Club from any legal fallout ot claims coming from NRL mayhem

Hope this helps answer your question a little.

Fitz is appointed by the Leagues club board to the NRL company so the simplist way is for the Leagues club board to remove him from the NRL company. They can do that without removing him as general manager of the Leagues club. The problem is they won't as they back him all the way so the only other alternative is for the Leagues club members to vote in a new board. Unlike what many think the football club members have NO say or voting rights in the Parra NRL company.

There have been many attempts to do so over the years but all have failed. Problem is he runs a successfull leagues club and the majority of voting leagues club members don't follow or care about the NRL football believe it or not.

Anyone who is a Member of Parramatta Leagues is "allegedly" an Owner of the Leagues Club!!

"Our Ownership" gives us Voting Rights at Club Elections and Cheap Food at the Leagues Club.

Crazy, just some points

The NRL side is run by the Parramatta National Rugby League Company (PNRLC) which is a member of the leagues club group (PLCG).

Also remember that 3 members of the football club (PDRFLC) board must sit on the leagues club board.

So you need to have a group of people remove 3 of the 7 (I think it is 7) of the Football club board first, to do that you have to be a member of the football club, to be a member of the football club you must have 2 other members sponsor your application. Once that is done you have to wait 3 years for voting rights.

Mark, it is the Leagues Club directors who are primarily behind Fitzy and they have the numbers on the leagues club board regardless of who the football club nominates. In any case I've been a member of both for a very long time and the only changes I have seen are due to either death or in Cement's case, the onset of senility.
