Surely Schifcofske ahead of guys like Dugan, Campbell and McKinnon.
So many great full backs, it's hard to choose
But for me Slater has been the best over the period in question, purely because he's played so much more than the other talented players who could be construed as "better" or on par with.
Mini is up there, but has been cruelled by injury. Lockyer, as brilliant as he is, spent most of the decade at pivot and should be remembered for playing at that position.
Patton was the most consistent player at full back over the period. He rarely missed games and when he was there was as solid and dependable a player as you could want in your side. Not prone to brain explosions and his ability was under rated by most.
Schivkovski was a great talent and deserved to make the list. But like another Roosters fan, I'd like to give that honourable mention to Luke Phillips. His bravery (some say complete stupidity) in saving tries and his general positional play was exceptional. It's such a pity that once he found a home at the Roosters after wandering round the NRL trying to crack first grade that his career was ended by a neck injury. I still cite him as my all time favourite Roosters player.
Josh Dugan in the poll :lol::lol::lol::lol:
More than half the options are ridiculious. Patten? McKinnon? People vote two ways. They're either blind with bias and vote for players like the above mentioned. Otherwise they'll decide between Slater and Lockyer, and to a lesser degree, Minichello.
Lockyer. Best player I've seen, and that includes the likes of Lewis, Meninga, Sterling, Langer, Fittler, and Johns.
Minichello next - the complete package at his best.
Slater third - hate him, but his sheer speed makes him the most dangeours broken play runner I've seen.
