Who will coach the Dragons next?

Hard to believe that we have had to endure this Mug coach for over 5 years now.

We keep hoping for some change but that aint happening ,there's an old saying "you can teach a mug ,but you can't teach him much" ... I reckon that sums up our illustrious coach to a tee,he would still be doing things the same dumb way in 10 years ,if he was there.

Maybe they will poach Brownie from Newcastle ,that would be the boards definition of an outsider no doubt.

If it has to be id take Brownie over this guy.........

Remember when Mary took over from Price as a care taker coach until someone was found.... At the time if I remember right, Mary was the attacking coach at this time, boy nothing has changed with his attacking or coaching.......Im afraid it's going to be another boy's club coach from within, or as others are predicting Barrett. If it's Barrett I can see it being IMO under the condition the current boy's club stays on..... If it's an outsider (bloody hope so) then the boys club of coaching will be broken up..... If it is within this once Mighty Club it can't endure another Price or McGregor era.......

it will be Barret by default because all the current systems in place ( Hornby, Young etc ) would be disrupted if an outsider was allowed in. The board would not allow that.

That's why Madge, Hasler and co weren't even considered when there was a plethora of coaches available.

Mary will be the next coach and the next one and the next one and the one after that. He will have the job for as long as he likes. Will end up with long service leave.

Your kidding if you think he will finish in 2021. He has the job for life as no matter how bad he does he will still get an extension as all he has to do is win a handful of games a year and Management are happy with that. They think that if he wins a game or 2 all of a sudden every NRL team want him so a quick to renew his contact. Only Grand Final won was with a coach who had no affiliation with the club in his junior days yet they still persist with a club stalwart.

I would only take Barrett ahead of other cause he actually left the club and spent time with Gus so may have some more of an idea than the others mentioned.

I get so despondent after seeing so many posts pointing out the obvious faults with this bloke - day after day - month after month and year after year . Everyone knows just how bad Mary is , so why does the board constantly extend his contract ?

It has been said on a number of occasions in the past there should be a thorough investigation into the running of the Joint Venture, but the problem is by whom ? Certainly the N.R.L. are quite content to see the Dragons implode and disappear from the face of the game , or worst still sent to purgatory in W.A,

I can only repeat what is so painfully obvious and that is that nothing will change until the entire blood sucking board of leeches are gone . As only then will new life come back into the St.George Illawarra that we all love .
