Winning culture vs losing culture. Brisbane will finish a long way ahead of Souffs, no matter who Rusty throws his chequebook at, Roosters style.

Greg Inglis will be what Thurston is to the Cowboys. A sensation at representative level when he's around other top players, gets absolutely hammered at club level with no talent around him. Broncos will go close to winning the premiership, Rabbitohs will be lucky to even make the top 12.

broncos

if lockyer didnt get injured at the end of the year they could have won the comp, keeping in mind they missed hodges all year aswell.

souths injuries were over rated. they had their 1-7 basically all year. burgess only missed games due to suspension (his own fault), luke stuart and ben lowe missed what 6 games each (normal for a forward), taylor and luke missed like 3.

they missed the finals because their halves are complete balls

lmao what a load of sh*t

Stuart and Lowe missed the entire back half of the season, Taylor and Luke both suffered injuries that kept them out for 6 - 8 weeks around the same time. Sutton and Champion were both injured right at the end of the season when we were looking at a run home to the finals. Add in Falloon, Pettybourne, Crocker, Simpson, Clark, McPherson, Geddes, Tyrrell having various injuries in the second half of the season and all of this was happening on a weekly basis. And you say that's nothing, overrated?

I see these teams now top 3 with the tigers being the other. Hannant was always the key for the broncos. They needed a forward leader.

Souths with inglis is farkin scary though. They've also got a few juniors coming through like Farrell.

Souths, clearly. Brisbane should get back in the 8 as we would have without GI, with and we're a top 4 team. We finished ahead of Brisbane this year, and what's changed between 2010 and 2011? Exactly.
.
You snuck ahead of us in the last game because we had Lockyer sitting out, as he had for the previous three games (hence why we lost the last four). Lockyer will be fit in 2011, that's what has changed. Hodges will also be fit, Hannant has returned and the best of our young guns (Hoffman, Gillett etc) will be more experienced.

You made it out like you beat us in 2010 by a few lengths... not even close. It was down to our injuries at the back end and the resulting slump that allowed you to get ahead on nothing more than for and against...

Granted he hasn't done anything substantial with us (neither has Henjak with Brisbane), but he knows what is required to win a premiership and unlike Henjak is liked by the players.
He took us to one game away from the Grand Final to be beat by the future GF winners in his very first season as coach.

We had plenty of key injuries too. And we have young players who are rapidly improving too. Luke, Taylor, Burgess to name a few. And now we have one of the best players, and the best back, in the league who we didn't have in 2010.

I think the Broncos can make it to about 5th or 6th, I think Souths can make it to the top 4.

Granted, but unfair to say that you'll finish ahead of us just because you did in 2010 and "nothings changed", because plenty has changed. Had Lockyer not been injured we would have finished somewhere around 6th and you would have finished 10th, and then I could use the "nothings changed" argument, and you would claim it's invalid.

That has been one of my arguments for keeping Henjak on as coach as other Broncos fans have had a knee jerk reaction and want Henjak sacked. More to the question. I believe the Broncos will come close to winning the premiership as will Souths if they can stay injury free, they have arguably the best squad in the comp, what Souths need like Parramatta is a good half back. Anyone want Wallace?

I don't believe for one minute that Brisbane don't have some announcment re: coaching or playing talent to come before the year is out either.

Henjak will still be coach next year unless Wayne wants to come back.

I was tipping a Titans v Broncos Grand Final this year (never tip Saints, mocker and all that). I have no doubt they could have went that far if Lockyer hadn't been injured.

Broncos for mine.

Charmayne Pavlisi is like by the players - doubt that would make her a premiership winning coach! Besides, Henjack has taken his side to a prelim final as was mentioned above.

Ben Hannant
As for Cullen, he's handled himself with dignity throughout this whole thing, he's got my respect. Dan Gilbert of the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers could learn a thing or two from him.
Who from who? Stick to a sort people know and care about - not some nonsensical nuffies from overseas that give you a boner and you alone.

And about the Mundine connection, people don't know him and Crowe are good mates, Crowe let him use his rural property to train before a fight. And Mundine has done some work for Souths. I'll be honest, like most people I didn't like Mundine before now, but if he's talking superstars into staying in the NRL, I have no problem with him.
FFS he hawked Inglis around to f*cking Toloun first. Mundine has done nothing to keepo Inglis in League. All he did was keep him away from Brisbane (or Gold Coast). All he did was appeal to the money hungry s**t -what's $100k? Long term Brisbane is a far better option for any Queenslander. It' usually rep bye byes when players leave Brisbane with Petero, Hannant and Boyd some rare exceptions. Inglis, on form, is on track to be lapped by some up and comers. And Mundine is as hostile to League as ever. With Mundine and Inglis the filthy lucre is always God.

Agreed, whenever Mundine pokes his fat nose into League someone gets screwed over. At first it was the Doggies when he convinced SBW to run overseas, and now the Broncos lose possibly the greatest center combination ever because Mundine has decided to intervene in a sport that doesn't want to know him.

Having a big self righteous head in boxing clearly isn't enough for him, he wants to make an impact on League as well...

Everyone has injuries, souths has no more then us who finished 3rd.

Luke, sutton and Taylor missed no more then 4 weeks, I'll put money on it. Your makig sh*t up.

You then list 8 players and at least six of them wouldn't make your starting 17.

FFS we miss the finals for the first time in almost 2 decades and suddenly we're popping up in polls alongside the f**king Bunnies. Pull your heads in LU and fear the mighty Brisbane juggernaut.

Yeah good point. It's way too soon for the Broncos to be as good as we will be in 2011. You're still a couple of years away from that.

I can't believe how over confident you are of your team. You're like a Haynetrain that can actually spell.

Haha. And my team has more than 1 star unlike his.

I wasn't always this confident. I just see the signs and IMO they point to a very good year. Improving young stars (luke/burgess/taylor etc) + the likelyhood we return to an average amount of injuries (or much less than 2010 in other words) + the guy who IMO is the best back in the comp (and i haven't just thought that since he was linked to us) + emerging stars from our toyota cup team that were minor premiers.

With those factors I believe we can make the jump from 9th to top 4. Look how far the roosters came in a year, we're much closer to the top than they were.

Rabbitohs if it all goes to plan.

Still have doubts about their halves and will be interested to see how they use Inglis - turning him back into a fullback should be a real go with Dylan Farrell coming through the ranks.
