Kyle O'Donnell at the Sharks..I like the look of him...(BUT As stagger says...that's the kiss of death for his career )

reminds me...I've just sent a voodoo doll of yourself to the following address.

MR Michael Lett
C/O ST George Illawarra Dragons
Kogorah
NSW

I appreciate his order and hope he refers me to other potential customers, apparently he's got some contacts in Canberra that are interested.

If Poore and Moimoi leave then we would have around 600-700K to spend to replace two forwards, mind you I doubt that will happen anyway.

Horo looks good but he needs to get more involved and he will have some tough challangers like Lasalo and Filinga. I simply put #18 on as options and they are just possible replacements.

If I had to chose now for 2011, I would have Horo and Filinga on the bench. When the props are replaced Mannah and Horo could come on with Shaks moving into the forward pack. Filinga would then be able to come on as a wide running backrower.

Say they do go and we do have $600-700K, is there anyone on the market?

actually, I have a question for caylo..

1) how many times have you seen Filiga play and when was it.'

2) how many Wenty games have you seen this year?

1) not often

2) not in a long time

BUT I have to say that I know people that play with and against him and they always mentioned his strength and smarts for the game. The guy has alot of talent and from what ive read it looks like he is getting back to the form that got him a 200K contract at the sharks. Filinga has been promoted from bundy to wenty bench and now in the starting side over Lasalo so he is obviously making good progress.

I'm sorry that I dont have the time to attend wenty games like alot of people here and I would love to if I could but does that mean I am not allowed to make judgment on other peoples evaluations.

Wentworth ? I think all the Robinvale boys are playing with Hay Magpies.

If Pele comes up, make him trim that bloody hair (put that there just for you Jessica...)
I agree with Bart, Cayless's money is long spent. "We havta dance wif dem wot brung us."..

narh he plays wentworth, im pretty sure. And for the hair, leave it on - makes him look more tank:lol: and oppositions will sht their pants after sighting pele running straight towards em! The extra hair can count as extra muscles =]

that's fine, but I really believe you should try and form an opinion based on what you've seen, people won't like what I'm going to say but this current group of second tier players are not as special as some people make it and that includes Filiga who will start in reserve grade for the first time in a couple of years, he's an explosive wide runner but will struggle to still play for 80 minutes at that level.

both Oake and Horo are head and shoulders above him and any other player coming out of that Wenty forward pack but I will say that Tim Robinson has shown great improvement in the past 12 months and could be the next cab off the rank in terms of backrowers that we have.

would love to pick up someone like Snowden from Cronulla or Tamou from the Cowboys but i know that both of those guys would be out of reach. maybe we can reunite the Mannah's, though Jon may want to repay the Sharks after what he has been through.

in reality though it will be a promotion from the lower ranks, just hope someone jumps up and takes the opportunity they will be presented with.

I dont see many wenty games anymore since they dont play as a reserve grade team-But i do remember that whenever a first grade player was dropped he would stand out.If know one is dominating in Wenty than i cant see how they would make a dent in first grade.Unless mitchel-lassalo-Humble-filiga and pele are killing them at wenty than they wont be able to step up and make a difference to our team

both of them are almost regarded as Marquee signings, that Tamou is just about to explode and Snowden could bolt from the blue for an origin jumper.

This is why reserve grade should be brought back and played before first grade.

I mean I dont often watch Toyota Cup these days cause the game is so crap, and most of them arent ready for first grade.

Id like to see Wenty play and see him players with potential, unfortunately this weekend they are playing at the same time as first grade. Well done NRL.

So I dont really know who will replace Cayless, maybe someone from another club would be handy, but as far as up and comer Im not so sure.

 Mick is still young...
Not too worried about the Canberra blokes. Dugan, Stuart, Vidot, Croker, Joel Thommo, Waddell, Fensom, Justin Carney, Drury Low, the Pickers, Hayden Hodge will end up as Superstars.....They are starring now. Just wait to see how good they become when they get a bit of experience.

I think we'll be alright, id be tempted to move Shack into a front row spot off the bench and keeping Horo as the 2nd rower coming off the bench as well.

The money is already spent (on upgrades and backended deals).

Hence the apparent inability of the club to offer Inu a contract extension.

This season was our best chance to give the comp a shake in the next 3-5 years, talent wise. Hence the disappointment in such a sh*t effort/result so far. The group can't afford to be kept together after this season.

Exactly Bartman, It looks like we are squandering our only real chance of a title in the next few years, and it is very, very, very sad to watch. I particularly feel for Hindmarsh, Cayless and Burt. Poor bastards.

I disagree. The current name Wenty squad being Pele, Filiga, etc are actually all pretty special.... as second tier players. I think a lot of people are overestimating what they could do in 1st grade in any immediate term. This is not unexpected though seeing how Ricky Stuart had the same problem. Players of that calibre though need a few games before any real judgment can be made.
Wright, Oake & now Horo are definite fringe first graders.
Robinson & Etu would be safe choices to cover long term injuries.
Pele could do well if called for the right reasons (to be Fui when Fui's off)
Mitchell & Lasalo IMO need a decent year training with 1sts, maybe couple of games, before I expect them to go on the Mannah learning curve.
Filiga is already on the Mannah curve but he had a very different starting point - can he continue to improve to the point of 1st grade?
I put him in the same boat as Humble in that they perhaps need a taste (2nd taste) of first grade to boost their development.
There are others like Blackburn who have surely got the attention of someone in the 1st grade staff.
None of them are ready for full time 1st grade but there is only one way they'll get ready, and that is to experience 1st grade

Yep I touched on this last week. Last year and this year we are at the top of the cycle before the salary cap breaks our team up.

Not a great start.

What's happening with Te Mare (sp) over at Bundy ? He's got a pedigree of a World Cup appearance for the kiwis in 07/08, so he can play. Is he fit at the moment ? Does he want to be a pro footballer ?

- at the moment the only guy I can see that may do something from the NYC is Peni Terapo, however he's still a solid 18 months away.

- Pele is now coming off the bench at Wenty however Blake Blackburn has been aguebley our best forward and probably should atleast train with the fulltime squad, his got good size and hits hard, very much in the Michael Weyman mould.

- I'm sure there's plenty available, love to see Johnny Mannah back or would like to see someone like Trent Merrin or Sam McKendry as a possible replacement.

- peni is a good young kid, but he has a couple more years in nyc left in him. 19 years old @ 107kg, plenty of room for growth.

- any prop that could be compared to weyman is worth a decent look at. how old is this kid?

- would love to see j mannah back as a wenty prop and someone else for FG.
