Love the Chad but he's an out and out halfback when it's all said and done.

I'm struggling to justify Robson as a starter. At least till the others have been proven to be still not up to it.

Chad played his entire junior career at 6. As a junior he was lights years ahead of Penani. As another poster said Peachey could go there. He started as a 6. I agree with the idea of putting Robson there. Put Chad at 7 and leave him there when TC returns.

Peachey is a player. if he can step up, wow. Plays what is in front of him & competes on every play.

Chad is our future half. Throw him at seven and then do what ever they want. Push Robbo to 6, he'll be fine, always solid or take the opportunity to try one of the younger guys. How ever it goes I'm sure the end game is to have CT/TC pairing by years end.

Yes, I know. Jarrod Boyle was the half in that side. However, junior league is junior league and is a million miles from being grade footy where thigs change in an instant. Look at Docko for example. He was halfback for his entire junior career but never saw a game as a half in first grade. Turns out he was a natural fullback.

Chad is a natural halfback.

Townsend has to be 7 at the start of the year regardless of what's happening with carney. There's plenty of options for 5/8 they could even put gorden in 6 and gardner to fullback

However, Flanno isn't one to take risks, I'm not confident in him being the kinda coach who puts a lot of faith in untested talent.

Here's what I think will happen with Penani and Peachy, something that I hope is horribly wrong. However I can see them wallowing away in NSW Cup for a year, maybe two, before before "retiring" and going to pick up a trade somewhere.

I'd love to see them get a go, however I can't see them getting a chance in Firsts any time soon. Too much tested depth in their positions, even if they show more promise than those established.

Robson was going to start anyway, the question is who will play replace Carney.

It will be Robson and Townsend. He wont blood a rookie, he wont put gards there and he certainly wont put Lewis in the halves.

Assuming Robson is at 7 I would have the Chad.

With Carney in though, I would have Chad at 7 and possibly Robson at 9. DeGois can do some much needed extra pass the ball training with the under 10s.

Are you serious? De Gois is one of the best hookers going around.

Robson is a tough one. He's tough and tested and knows how to lead a side but Chad is the future. I agree with Frenzy that Chad is a natural halfback and should be played as such. I'm also a fan of using Peach at 5/8. I think if we are going to have any chance of success in the near future, Flanno needs to blood guys like Peach, Lichaa and Coates and use guys like Mills and Townsend this season. They aren't going to hang around forever without getting FG time.

Therefore Robson should go to NSW cup this year. Chad and Peach while TC is out, Peach off the bench when TC comes back.

I'm with Stuff, I always thought Robson would be a good hooker. Good defender, pretty nippy and can pass. Just wouldn't want it to be at the expense of Lichaa getting a chance. Wouldn't bother me if it was ahead of Morris however.

Without Carney, I'd like to see Peachey get a shot with Chad. Won't happen though.
