seriously i recon gallen could do it , he has some speed as you have seen he, can really offload well , but im not sure about his kicking
maybe put him at fullback and move peaach to 5/8 , but covell would be the one that should be a 5/8 if noddy doesnt play :f:

You obviously haven't been watching Cronulla closely enough - Jason Stevens was born to play at first receiver, and Danny Nutley would kill it at fullback.

Charlie - Minto!! you're not watching closely enough either - everyone knows Chris Walker is the premier winger in 1st grade

guys when wiill you stop falling for his bait?
He is Geeing all you guys up.
It would be like me saying Scott Minto is the greatest winger in the comp!

Dont reply to his crap..

he would have to be the best looking winger in the comp ;-)

this thread is great, the guy is definately just having some fun. no one is that special to believe Covell is a future superstar!!!!!

To be honest BBSF, Noddy is actually my favourite player at the Sharks. He's actually my favourite non-Warriors player.

We all know how much you like Covell, but seriously, what do you think of the other Sharkies players?

Same goes for all the other Covell-lovers out there.

What pisses me off is that Covell IS having a good season.. Now I can't mention him because of these three tossers

These guys arent even Sharks fans if they are they're just forum regulars that are bored and decided to take the piss.. weird how you guys keep biting back though #-o

BBSF and curry and Covell(the poster) are probably the same person

Back on topic, there is a young bloke playing for Canberra in Prem. league called Terry Campese. He is a freak. Built more like a lock than a 5/8, has the kicking game to rival the greats. Will be big in years to come (is still only 18 or 19 I think.

There is also a young bloke from Brisbane called Berrick Barnes. Has a lot of raps on him, highly rated by many in the know in Qld. Will find it though breaking into 1sts for the Broncs though, with the likes of Lockyer holding down the 5/8 spot for a few years yet. Dont be suprised to see a Michael Monoghan style switch to another team like he did when playing prem. league for Canberra, and becoming starting 5/8 1sts straight away when he went to Manly. Perhaps the first Gold Coast 5/8?

Ill throw Jerome Ropati's name in the ring as well by the way.

(Tony Kemp hasn't realised he's a 5/8 just yet ;-) )

Coolumsharkie, I assume you mean to David Campese, if so yes he is David's nefew. From the great League / Union breeding ground Queanbeyan. Like Uncle David Terry made his first grade debut in Union with the Queanbeyan Whites, at the age of 16. Unlike Uncle David made the decision to switch to League with the Raiders soon after.

The forum needs to take a collective "chill pill" on the subject of Luke Covell.
He's no rep, but he's no nuff-nuff either.

i think dane carlaw is the premier back rower in the game. He is sooooo good that he has done it all in the NRL and now is going to blitz the QLD cup. Once he does that by seasons end he will come back the Broncos and train as a 5/8 in the off season. Darren Lockyer isnt cutting it as a 5/8 and will be playing lock for the Broncos and Carlaw will play 5/8 in 2006...
