Looks like we're playing the Sharks now.

They're resting half their team against Canberra.

Wonder if they're factoring in that they'd rather play us than the Cowboys.

Probably both. Giving players a rest before finals not a bad idea, then also I'd rather verse us then the cowboys at the moment probably. I think we can still beat the sharks though

I'd personally prefer the Bulldogs as I we can get over the top of them, but even if we play the Sharks....we showed not that long ago that we can win down there.

For me, its week 2 that I fear. Melbourne or the Roosters I believe we'd play

Todd Carney (hamstring), Michael Gordon (calf, knee), Wade Graham (shoulder), Jayson Bukuya and Anthony Tupou could all have played if the game meant something, while skipper Paul Gallen is out through suspension.

More players, including hooker John Morris, are likely to be rested.
The Sharks have already secured a home semi-final and coach Shane Flanagan is not prepared to risk injuries.
All will return for the semi-final on Saturday week.

Dogs will get smashed by Cowboys. We will beat Sharks if we advance on Sunday. We came back to beat Sharks in front of their home crowd. Our backline is easily twice theirs. Same for the Dogs. It is embarrassing the lack of faith here. This 'let's face reality crap' is ignorant.

I agree totally. We are a better team than both the Sharks and the Dogs. I'm confident we'll win against either of those 2 sides. As long as our pack can hold their own we have a backline to rival any in the comp, and the best news is they're only going to get better and better.

I think most of us here back our chances against the Dogs or Sharks

Week 2 against any of the top 4 however....well, we just aren't in their class tbh. Still, stranger things have happened in RL

Parra and Warriors are prime examples of stranger things happening. I believe the ability is there to go all the way, to beat some of the top 4 sides, however, our inconsistency and the fact we can't strong more than three games together doesn't give me much hope.

Dog's, but i'd be confident against either. Confident as in a 50/50 chance at best.

i'm confident in taking on 5th and 6th

and we really took it to the top 4 (except manly)
just need the bounce of the ball and a few calls go our way
but second or third week would be fantastic

Without snowden I'm not too confident of matching any team we face in the finals. His suspension was a massive blow for us.

Agreed. Especially if you watched last nights game and watched how important it is to have a big front rower rip in.

If we had Snowden I still would've had hope of making a run into October.

If we get to the grand final, we've truly done it in style. I don't think it gets tougher than this;

Newcastle Knights
The Knights have picked up their form at the right end of the season, but there's still some question marks over whether their best 17 has the class to match it with the other finalists. If Wayne Bennett could have picked any side to kick-off their top eight campaign, it would probably have been Des Haslrer's men.
Week One: v Canterbury Bulldogs, ANZ Stadium, 4pm (EST) Sunday
Week Two: v loser of Rabbitohs-Storm
Week Three: Preliminary Final v winner of Roosters-Sea Eagles
Week Four: Grand Final v winner of second Preliminary Final

I think we will beat the dogs. If we get the Manly SEs the week after, I think that's it for us. Roosters I think is the easier match up.

That's the third week Yosh. If we win on Sunday we'll play the loser of Bunnies/Storm.
