Who's Running.....

In the City to Surf this year???

Been in the last two years, and just started training for this one. Also, through the persuasion of my work colleagues, have entered the Sydney Half-Marathon in September. Daft.

My regular diet of Zingers & Carlton Draught has stopped (well, at least the zingers). But laying off the take away & p1ss of late, plus training, is a new lease of life - I feel 200% better.

I'll be there...again. I never learn.

Want to break 60 minutes this year hopefully. Last 4 years have run all around 61-63 minutes but can't crack 60!!!

Geez, thats good going!

I started in the back of the pack both times, and the first 3-4k's is basically dodging, swerving, stop, starting around the nuffies - tough going. Starting from the middle pack this year so should improve.

I'm hoping to crack 70min - that would do me nicely. See you at the beach!

yeah i remember my first year I started in the yellow group and although i was quite fit it was tough getting through the crowd.

These days I get into the front groups and get there early to avoid such issues but that 60 minute mark has been biting at me for years. maybe I'll get a cab.

I'd like to finish.

Wont be a problem. There's plenty of "drink stations" - ie Pubs, along the way.

Also, plenty of inspiration to keep you moving. I got overtaken by two blondes heading up heartbreak hill last year, both stunning and each with a backside that could crack a walnut. That was enough incentive for me, and I kept up with them for the next 6k, overtaking them near the end.

I dunno! I think I would have fallen into the rear!
