Right now at this moment im picking LeBron as the best all round player in the NBA

Kobe is to selfish and greedy. He shoots around 30 shots a game and forgets he has team mates
AI is to inconsistant the last few games and is always up and down
Niwitzki isnt having a great year and Shaq has missed a few games
Nash is having another good year and combining with Marion well and will do even better when Amare returns

My top 5 at the moment are

Lebron James
Steve Nash
Kobe Ballhog
Vince Carter
Dewayne Wade = Allen Iverson

dwayne wade is the best all around player in the NBA. (defence, scoring, assists)

No.

Kobe and T-Mac are more all-rounded then Wade. Wade has no 3-point range at all!!

Kobe would be my pick closely followed by Carter, McGrady and LeBronze in no particular order.

kirlenko can sure put up some numbers in different categories, but with the game on the line i dont know if he would be a true match winner like say a kobe or wade

the thread's not "who is a match winner" it's tittled who's the best all round player in the nba right now kirilenko does it all he scores, he passes, he blocks shots, gets steals and he rebounds just for example look at the stat line for todays game

18 pts 11 asts 16 rebs 3 stls 4 blks fgm-fga 8-13

Excuse my biased opinion but i think Dirk Nowitzki is the best all round player. He always has great percentages in all shooting categories including 25 points a game, very consistant scorer, rebounds well, passes well, he can also block and steal the ball well, always ends up with a low TO rate, can create his own shots and is probably the best player at making off balance shots.

His only flaw is most eyes is his supposed lack of defence...

the way he weaves through the defence is just magic

he puts a mother with a sewing kit to shame.

- he drives in the key better than any other player ive seen his size
- he can shoot
- he can handle the ball as good as tony parker (well... almost)
- he is a great defender
- he sneaks in for the odd rebound when needed
- he captains the team when needed (you can actually see him going off at mohammed once for trying to defend a point gaurd and causing duncan to foul)

the guys a machine...

I'd go Tim DUncan

stats will tell you different but the only stat that matters is championships. The guy is a winner, he's a clutch player, he's a low post monster offensively, has decent range, can fade away, he's unmatched mental toughness, a great leader, a monster off the glass, good shot blocker, and plays for the W instead of the stats.

I also like AK 47, he doesn't always post huge numbers but he's got that much potential its not funny. Best shot blocker in the league, arguably the best defender in the league, capable of grabbing 10 rebounds most nights, can dunk, but can also shoot and pass like a white guy.

Kobe doesnt have the team around him so he has to hog the ball in order for the lakers to have a chance.

if it wasnt for kobe wanting the lime light so much, they could have still had shaq there.

i originally thought kobe could meet the likes of jordan, but the kid doesnt have team qualities.

remeber, there is no "I" in the word "Team"

:nwave: "kobe, over here man.... pass..."

LeBron James is definitely the best Allround player in the NBA he leads his team plus gets numbers in all categories.

Kevin Garnett would be a close second.
And don't forget about Jason Kidd a pure point guard who can shoot and rebound.

Yep, Ron Artest. He does it all including a bit of fan interaction during the match...
