I thought a couple of changes that might work!!!

1 David Peachey
2 Nathan Merritt
3 Nigel Vagana
4 Ryan McGoldrick
5 Hasan Saleh "warrants selection on form"
6 Michael Sullivan "need to start, gives us options both side of the ruck"
7 Brett Kimmorley
8 Jason Stevens
9 Pat Gibbson "Specialest dumbie half"
10 Danny Nutley
11 Matt Bickerstaff
12 Paul Gallen
13 Phil Bailey
interchange
14 Jason Williams
15 Sam Isemonger
16 Reece Williams
17 Mat Hilder

Sully should be given a shot a five-eighth. The Gallen experiment is not a long term solution.

Sully has to do more.
he can't remain in the top grade playing like he did last night.
he needs to provide the penetration the team needs & if he doesn't, then get someone in who can. If he can't do it in 20 minutes spurts, who won't do it by starting the game.

Sully has played well until last night, he had a very poor one to, that attempt on try from dummy half and epitimy of his shocker of a night. I think 5/8 is the go, Gallen is being underutilized at that position meanwhile Hilder seems to be goin well at hooker.

Its worth a shot, Hilder is becoming a decent hooker, and when bird comes back he can have a shot at lock again.

Apart from his game against the Roosters, I think Sullivan has been playing well.

And although I like Simmons, he performed badly under the high ball on the weekend. I think 2 tries may have been scored on his wing when he failed to secure the ball. So perhaps Saleh does deserve another go?

Substitute Kent for Franze and swap Gallen and Bickers the only changes I would make to your team brumal

Again selections based on personality rather than performance.
Anyone who would put Franze in firsts is kidding.
& punting Simmo B4 merrit! #-o
Unfortunately you guys that keep punting Simmo & leaving non-tryers like Merrit in, have to watch at least one lower grade performance this year to see just how far off the mark you are.

To give you an idea, we have 2 Flegg players for wingers in PL this week.

The so called "specialist centres" like Emilio, Franze, Seers etc. are gone & look like ending up in the forwards.
The number 1 centre in the club is Bailey
Then Mcgoldrick.
The number 1 Winger is Saleh.
Then Simmo.
By a country mile.
Somebody who was there last week to watch all the games, tell me I'm wrong & why.

1 David Peachey
Plays 80 mins, needs to create the extra man.
2 David Simmons
I would prefer him next to our most experienced centre.
3 Nigel Vagana
Best Right centre in the game.
4 Ryan McGoldrick
Appears to be the best option.
5 Hassan Saleh
Selected to help improve the left hand defence.
6 Michael Sullivan
I am not a fan of him @ hooker in defence, has a kicking game of sorts can create options in attack to take pressure of BK.
7 Brett Kimmorley
Still gets carried in defence.
8 Jason Stevens
Play 30 mins on 20 mins off 30mins on.
9 Mat Hilder
Whole game here.
10 Chris Beattie
Play the first 15 mins of each half.
11 Danny Nutley
80 mins, takes Stevo's spot when off
12 Phil Bailey
30 mins on 20 mins off 30 mins on
13 Paul Gallen
80 mins, if he can play 5/8, lock should not be a problemo.
interchange
14 Jason Williams/ swapping with Beats
15 Andrew Lomu / When Nuts moves up to front row Lomu comes on
16 Reece Williams / for Bailey
17 Keith Galloway/Matt Bickerstaff/Sam Isemonger / In case of injury.

But I'll see how the team goes as selected.

defence lineout from taps.

Saleh -- McGoldrick -- Bailey -- Sullivan -- Nutley -- Beattie -- Hilder -- Stevens -- -- Kimmorley -- Gallen -- Vagana -- Simmons

Peachey

And find a goal kicker.

Fair point BTR, I only get to watch 1st grade via foxsports and wouldn't have a clue how PL and Flegg players are going, but for the life of me I can't understand how you can keep Simmons in top grade. Surely I am not the only one seeing him give away tries to the opposition EVERY game and for the 2 games Merritt has played I haven't seen him miss tackles or fumble balls to give away tries. Merritt is a proven 1st grader Simmons isn't.

No worries, admit I have'nt seen much of the lower grades at all, at the Rabbits game I'll make sure I get there for it and suss some backs.

I'm at the stage now I can't go back on Simmons though, for me he's a liability. He will continue to get targeted, if he handles the next 2 games against 'lower' opposition, I'd be happy to see him stay for a while but considering how many players in the club we have for that position I'd like to see someone else given a chance soon if he keeps costing the side tries.

I have not been much of a simmons fan, however the kid is getting better, leave him there.

Saleh in for merrit ... why the hell did we buy merrit !

Leave the rest of the team alone, Hilder is a hooker, Gallen is a good 5/8 option for us until bird returns.

Sullivan could not stand up to 80 mins at 5/8.

We could do with a decent backrower though, do we have anyone better than isemonger playing in the lower grades ...

I want to see Merritt have a go at goal kicking before we punt him. Sure he hasn't done anything yet but that can be coached into his game. He needs to get lower when he takes DHR's because he is too light. He does need to go searching for the pill and he must back up the forwards. Give him a little more time, if he turns out to be an 80% goal kicker then I think we can carry him.

Simmons is going to get over his little errors soon and have you all singing his praises.

You dont rate Vagana higher than these 2 clowns

On involvement? No.
Not that that's entirely his fault....

On form. It's simple equation really.
he is not involved & when he is, not very effective.
Has made 1/3 the metres of Bailey & half of Goldies.
50% less tackles than both, yet missed tackles are proportionitely high.

So these 2 "clowns" as you put it, are all over our big name signing in regards to on feild performances.

Clowns? Theres a line to be archived.

Hey Surely, have you been watching the Sharks recent games. Isemonger has been one of our better performing forwards since he turned his season around in the Canberra game.
