Also did you watch the 2010 competition? If you did you wouldn't cry like soft precious babies. Go home. Your mums will have ready the warm milk & butter cookies.

I feel sorry for SK inheriting the crap. Judge him next year with his players

Thats my point ffs! He basically got handed a team he didnt want kinda like Anderson did but anyway the board could have made themselves look like the next messiah if the brought SK in next season with his own squad..

Don't want to live in the past but why did we sack Ando?

We had a bad year last year but we still played good football.

Anderson had a great relo with players and was well liked by most in the club. I think if he had that off season to recruit the players he wanted then we would be in a better position.

Im happy to give Kearney a go but really im wondering why we lost Anderson for a rookie coach with no experiance.

We played good footy lastt year? we were crap, with last years roster we should have been in the top 4

Who made Kearney take the job? He knew exactly what he was inheriting. If he didn't see that as an opportunity to show off his coaching ability then he's in the wrong job.

Oh and he's being paid hundreds of thousands to do something he loves.

Yeah I feel sorry for him too.... Knob.

You think? We overachived in 2009 despite what a lot of people are saying. The fact remains that DA was never given the opportunity to recruit the side he wanted either.

Yeah exactly. I don't feel sorry for anyone earning 300k plus a year... it's part and parcel of what comes with the job and the money you get for it. Public criticism.

Last i looked we still had the same 7 & 6.

Our defence is worse & our attack is even more predictable.

Ando overachieved his first year but at least our team defended our line with pride when he was coach.

Tahu was a loose cannon last year. Mateo didnt try & inu was walk this way advertisement last year.

I have all faith in SK it will take him a good season to get what he wants out of the players but at the moment we should have the players on the park that can atleast win a few more games then they have at the moment..

the board panicked last year after not attracting any rep players that they chased and pirtek also had a say in the coaching change as they said if DA is not going to be given an extension sack him now. And one of the directors of the major sponsor is on the parra board aswell remember that.!! Parra not attractive club to play for at the moment and players want to win premierships and then its money and parra have the money at the moment but havent got a chance of winning a comp at all.!! The eels have a pack of forwards that dont dominate and halves that cant organise becuase the forwards dont dominate..the eels have become the new souths the club that all the good young players leave like gardner at the sharks and buhrer at manly and rep players wont come to the club becuase if your losing you wont get noticed as much and might not get picked in the rep side..so parra have alot a work to do to turn this club around and it has to start in the front office which i read today that the club is trying to bring tony zappia back which might help the recruitment as that was his job when he was at the club before...hope we improve soon for all members sakes..!!!

Mooks is doing a much better job than Furner is with the Faiders.
1/6 games so far with a quality roster.

I actually think Mooks is doing a decent job with this piece of sh*t ass roster that Parra are fielding out atm, especially for a rookie coach.

I for one, think it's a bit of conflict of interest having the CEO of Pirtek sit on our current board. He may well be qualified to handle such a role, but it is certainly a conflict of interest.

He has a s**t roster no doubt... but he's certainly not doing a decent job that's for sure.

You serious????

You're aware that Robson and Mortimer were our halves last year as well right?

People are so far in denial that it's not funny. Anderson was axed because he was a Ftizgerald hiring - would've been axed the previous season had we not made the GF, but they couldn't sack the coach that year, so waited until last year.

But the bigger denial is that we had a playing roster worth squat last year.

if you have the worst halves in the comp you should finish last
The fact we played solid defence, competed in so many games, and were a shot at the 8 until the last few weeks is testament to Anderson working with the crud he was left.

And for those saying 'Kearney's no better" - DUH? Robson/ Mortimer are still the halves right???

There's actually a reason that Robson only played 5 first grade games before his current stint as our half --> and that was by default - there was simply nobody else at the club who WAS a halfback.
