I can't wait for the Warriors-Raiders match up. With Davico and Wiki back for the Raiders and Guttenbeil and Villisanti returning for the Warriors the impact of these two packs colliding should be felt right across the Tasman. The Raiders ambushed us the last time the two sides met but I don't think there's any chance of the Warriors being complacent this time around, Wellington should be in for a corker of a match.

Seriously though Schiffers is playing great football and, dare I say, is the best fullback in the league at the moment (sorry Mr Lockyer, you're still the greatest).

That was an awesome game and was incredibly satisfying for those fans who stuck solid the last few years. I think even the biggest Schif fans are shocked at how well he is playing, his first6 weeks of footy has been the best a Raiders player has gone since Stuart was carving them up in the mid 90's.

True Bronco, Lockyer was great against Parra, and he was outstanding against the Roosters last week. But the raiders are undefeated and Schifcofske is the big reason behind that. I will call it a draw for now. Still the Maroons have got some awesome backline depth shaping up, even if the two mentioned fullbacks were struck down by injury leading up to origin we'd still have Rhys Wesser ready to slot into the Number 1. Matt Sing is in exceptional form too, as is Justin Hodges and Brent Tate.

Moffo, where for art thou?

Four points clear at the moment and we are serious contenders and should easily finish in the top four.

Ed, I was at the game and it was a pearler. Schif had a blinder. I actually spoke with him outside the ground and my son got a photo with him. Nicest bloke you will ever meet.

You know what impressed me most. Premier league. They smashed a team full of thugs and dirty players 48-0 and they were last years premiers. Some of the young players like Ben Cross are ready to step up. Terry Campese and Nathan Friend also had great games while Bulgarelli is a player we must keep at all costs.

We won all four grades yesterday.

Long live the Green Machine!!!!!

Make sure you Maroons keep your grubby mits of Phil Graham. He is from Tamworth, not Qld as some think.

I am looking forward to round eleven. In theory because we beat Penrith we should be able to account for the Warriors shouldn't we?:D

Ive copped enough today from Canberra fans

Well, to be honest, i was only able to catch the 1st half. But i saw the highlights of the 2nd half today, and yes, i will say that they played well and are chugging along quite consistently.

Good crowd as well, hope they can keep that up

But you beat thugs in the reggies? Your not talking about the dogs are you?

Cheers,
Moffo

Yeh the raiders are strolling around just merrirly ATM. Well done Greenies.
Actually, I really don't see them loosing a game any time soon. At least not until round 11 when they meet the Warriorsat Westpac Stadium, Wellington...which they may even topple the Warriors.
Well done to the Raiders...so far. Many didn't even look at them a couple of months ago (myself included), but they certainly know how to shut people up.
Thier crowd figures are very good also.

not much of a raiders fan, gotta give credit though, for now anyway, well they are up there, but do think a "lucky winning streak" can only last so long....................... have no doubt they will be the top 5 still at about round 20 or so, but i think the other teams playing so well at the moment ie ROOSTERS, knights (yeah i hate to say it) will be knocking them off their "little" pedistool very soon......................................:)

Moffo, the thugs were indeed the Bulldogs premier league side. They had at least four players put on report and they got hammered by a committed and determined Raiders side. It didn't dawn on me until after the game that they are the reigning premiers and they were shite.

All these blokes like Ben Harris, Roy Asotasi, Ben Hall and whoever else the Dogs were pinning their hopes on, they got smashed for 80 minutes and they played some of the dirtiest footy I have ever seen.

It seemed to carry over to the first grade side with O'Meley giving Woolford some stick but the one thing Canberra has over most sides is discipline. We keep it simple and play to our strengths. We have four playmakers and it's simply too difficult to stop Woolford, Drew, McLinden and Schif. Even our forwards, much maligned in the past few seasons, would give the Roosters pack a run at the moment. Our defence up front is menacing. Mason got hammered every time he touched the ball and I don't think he got one ball away.

I just hope the side is up for this weeks game against Souths. They need to be foucsed against every team they play, every week.
