the selectors have f**ked up for 4 years in row now if you did that in your job you would have been fired long ago. Players get dropped why not selectors?

See, I think last year showed you do need that 80 minute workhorse. The impact guys are all well and good, but the workhorse provides stability and allows for even more impact off the bench. Not to mention the work ethic and defensive muscle that Hindy would bring....I think that if Hindy had played last year we'd have gone a lot closer to winning it back from QLD

Hey I agree. He should be one of the first players picked. That's why I think the selectors don't pick him though. And it's silly. Origin is about passion and committment, and heart. Hindy was born for origin. The fact that's missed out on selection the past 2 years is why we've lost 4 series in a row. The fact that he probably won't be picked this year means it will be probably be 5 losses in a row.

I just wish NSW would pick him. That's where his ticker is needed most.
Totally agree PG, he has the right Origin attitude, dont give up at any cost, Hindy will keep going no matter what. They always say that origin is a very different game, then why do they continue to not pick Hindy, who should be the origin role model! But saying that he will never be picked for origin, because the selectors bite the big one!!!!

Hindy's not going to be picked for rep sides anymore, simple as that. They tried to "tell" him by bringing him back for that one last go in PNG.

But he played in the 4 Nations last year Bart, including the final.
If they had made that decision, would he have been picked then?
Even several of the continuous call team were selecting him today in their state team. I know they are mugs, but it proves there are pundits out there who still think he can be of value.
My only concerns are Craig Bellamy, Bob Fulton and Laurie Daley.

Phil Gould, as much as I dislike him, is the most successful coach in NSW origin history and knows what it takes to win origin games. Last year he said that if he was still coaching today Hindy would be the first player he'd pick for his side, and he would make him captain on top of that. That's a massive rap from a NSW's greatest ever coach, perhaps Bellamy and the current selectors should listen to his advice.

SImple answer, he's not as fashionable as some of the others running around. Would be in any team I pick in any era, but the selectors would rather go for younger players. Gus Gould said he would be his NSW captain, too bad he's not coaching the blues anymore.

I agree 100% .. unlike Queensland, NSW tries to pick a million game winners( and sh*t kickers like Bent Kite ) and NO workers. Hindy doesnt have the attack he used to have but in saying that he still can find the line if given the chance......aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand he defends for 80 minutes like no other player in the game. I hope he gets picked :)
