Why no questions on Kearney?

Agree with all points on Kearney

But
His selection of the interchange baffles me. Is Roache really needed on it. Is he back up for Foran
And Sao playing 20 odd minutes of pure plod is concerning

I think Roache has mainly been there to cover Luke and he'll drop off now he's playing 80. And yeah Sao is plodding it up and needs to be dropped to reggies

Kearney sucks.

He has this idiot idea about holding onto the ball, focusing on playing the game in the oppositions redzone.

He calls it ' following our processes and giving us an opportunity to win.

Kearney has totally stuffed our jungle ball.

His selections show he is as stubborn as a Mule and pays no respect to fan scrutiny. Gub and Maumalo are obvious examples....tis true they try hard....who cares....others are playing better in attack.

Seems we are stuck with the same idiot plodding that Kearney inflicted on the Kiwis during his tenure.

Let's pray someone who understands the Polynesian culture replaces this defense minded plodder....he is ruining all of my Super coach picks.

Iirc you mentioned yourself Sao was very good in his NSW Cup comeback. For the most part I think he's done the job asked of him frankly. He's not getting big enough minutes to summise his overall impact.

Re Roache. It was only recently that Thompson plodded up the hooking role. Once bitten twice shy. Not his fault either but a lot of teams either carry a hooker or an outside back.

Good point, dnw to see that again. I wonder could Foran go to dummy half in the event of an injury to Luke? Not sure how you'd reshuffle the rest of the backline though. Wish we had a Lance Hohaia type supersub on the books!

Kearney is improving this team greatly from what I see. I am starting to believe we will play finals football in 2017 after watching the transformation in the last 4 weeks. Though we still have major issues with much bigger forward packs, Kearney has done the impossible and given this club a new heart and seemingly some new dna as well. Solving one problem at a time - next is maintaining momentum and closing out 2nd halfs.

These players are beginning to look smarter in their option taking and playing a more oppressive/choking form of football that teams like Manly and Storm traditionally play. Once Kearney gets some bigger forwards and a couple of genuine centre/wings the Warriors will be a true force to beat.

It is no coincidence that Ricky Stewart, Craig Bellamy and Trent Robinson have pointed out in recent weeks the absolute hell of games the Warriors have given them. What interests me even greater is it seems Foran is becoming less dominant and the team are growing more dominant. So probably a case of players raising their own personal efforts.

I like what I am seeing and am becoming a believer again.

obviously it seems that Kearney has a plan to hold the 3rd prop back to have one spell in the 2nd half and go hard
why not give it to one of the sipleys and let them rip in

You have to think that is on the card for the 2nd half of the season. First kearney steadies the ship and then starts adding to armory. Tofofoa Sipley has all the talent in the world to become an incredible strike weapon. The fact Kearney was willing to let Matulino walk tells me enough. I am appreciating his do it my way stance in this regard. Not always a fan in the past but cant deny what my eyes have been seeing this last month of football.

Our Bench has been mud, both in composition and performance, and surely is a contributing factor to our 2nd half woes. I haven't seen much of Tofofoa Sipley, but if he can be a strike weapon get him on there!

Surely it's the role Lolohea could fill if he could find some form and stop sulking...

Matulino certainly makes a difference from the bench, if they insist on playing Bodene I'd hope they drop his minutes and add Bunty to the bench?

I keep thinking that Kearney likes to make absolute sure that the new blood is ready eg CNK. He bidded his time and after consistant performances this season he got his chance. But then my theory goes out the window with his selection of Erin Clarke:confused::confused:

Watched Tofafoa on the weekend. There's a reason he's on the Cup teams bench. He can caught out in the middle real bad. Lateral movement is a significant problem.

Clark and Papalii presumably got picked on pre-season form. 9 weeks of actual ISP cup competition ought to be a much better gauge.

Yeah, and it's McFudd's fault for not allowing him to develop and have more NRL games under his belt.

Dunno if I got the right thread, but jase (I think) said Vete's form in ISP has been downright horrendous. Or his attitude has been?
