Widders from the bench

What do you all think, i think he losses a lot starting the game..he tends to IMHO have more of an inpact from the bench after about 20mins...

Yeah I agree, he normally goes well off the bench when the forwards are tired. He's a good defender though, no question.

He certainly hasnt let us down, he hasnt done anything wrong this year.

Widders has one or two good games, then goes quiet.

NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

But I agree, he's better on the bench.

He is with a doubt a better impact player coming from the bench. I rate him very high when doing this but does little for me (average) when on the run on side. Both Widders and Webster were fantastic bench players. Really made some difference.

I still think Vella is best suited this way as well. Exactly how he was used for Australia. Gets the oposition on the back foot when they are tiring. Has speed to burn & lets face is not an intimidating forward like some opposition players.

Imagine a bench such as

14. Vella
15. Widders
16. Fui Fui Moi Moi
17. Webster

Unbelievable. Impact. Impact. Impact.....Mind you we don't have the opportunity to do this with the currrent injury concerns. But can dream......
