Wigan Again

WOOOOO! GO WAKEY!

As much as i hate Wigan, them dropping out of the ESL would be a pretty terrible thing, especially with Wigan Athletic doing well and teams such as Leeds United and the Blades looking to come up in the Premier League - Nothern England is a league place!

Wigan are scouring the National Leagues for players now - They've signed Jordan James from Swinton and Lusi Sione from Workington as well as Wilkes from Whitehaven and Jonkers from Salford's reserves.Sione can't play on Fridays or Saturdays due to his religion so he will only be able to play 2 games for Wigan in the 2 months of his contract.

I don't see how these players are going to help them at all.

I thought maybe last week's win at Wakey in the cup might see Wigan turn the corner but it appears they're going backwards . They won't get much sympathy from the rest of British rugby league with their history of doing pretty much what they liked with no regard for the game in general . Millward isn't well liked either .

Geez this is really scaring me

At the season beginning I thought they'd become a dynasty but they're sucking so bad. They need to throw a MASSIVE cash offer to an NRL halfback. I don't know who... Brett Firmen, Chris Shepard, Brett Finch... someone who isn't getting a start at their club or isn't the first pick... badly.

Moron and Orr just aren't cutting it obviously

Message to Wigan ... try Lance Hoihia from the NZ Warriors for #7. You'll probabaly find that the Warriors may give him an early release.
HE IS GOOD!

I find it strange they got slammed this week by the team they beat in the challenge cup the week before? From what I've seen of them it might be a problem with the forwards too rather than just the halfbacks... if there's no platform up front than even the best halfback in the world will struggle.

Didn't look like a bad lineup on paper, at least 1 through to 5. What's wrong with them? They must have serious internal problems.

Well Vaileki is horrible

Calderwood and Dallas aren't getting any ball

Orr and Moran are horrible halves pairing

They've got too many injuries, especially in the forwards

PLUS

they are still coping from the loss of Andy Farrell and perahps Kris Radlinski

Can it get any worse, was the question.

Look at their next fixture. Away at Saints. I reckon it's going to get a whole lot worse.

remember that wakey were 22 - 6 up in that game also and but for a stupid play 3 minutes before half time that gave wigan a sniff they would have been out of sight in that game also ... an injury niggle to defensive coordinator Monty Betham also affected the formation and Trinity had several key players (including David Solomona) back this week.

trinity have squandered a winning lead during the final quarter in 4 league and 1 cup game this season... when they start to have confidence in going through and killing games they will take some stopping...

they were awesome in running 32 points in the first half this week and could have had 3 or 4 more scores in that time.

would think that brining in some mid season second string NRL talent would be a good move. Would be a way for a young guy from down under to gain valuable experience, travel some, and make some good money...

That said, Wigan MUST do something. The super league NEEDS them.
