SEASON TICKET SALES SOAR
Posted 3.10pm. Thursday 18th November '04

Wigan Warriors have sold over 4,000 Season Tickets already for Super League X which includes over 1,000 this week.

With the early bird deadline approaching on Friday at 5pm and the ticket office open until 7pm today (Thursday) the club are hoping to reach the 5,000 target before deal ends.

Speaking about sales Wigan Warriors Commercial Director Geoff Warburton said,

"There has been a massive upturn in sales following the signing of Dennis Moran and with the early bird deadline ending Friday, we would encourage fans to buy now and get the best savings for the new season."

"We are hoping to pass 5,000 before Friday, the fans are showing their backing of the team ahead of the new season and everyone at the club is delighted to have reached this mark within the first month of sales. With Christmas around the corner, we expect many fans will take the opportunity to think about buying a Season Ticket as an ideal present. "

The Ticket Office Hotline number is 0870 11 22 552.

Food for thought for anyone who thinks the international game won't help the club scene. There is a need to mention that the Piemen 'only' ( . I wish Manly 'only'...) had 6000 season ticket holders for SL2004. They've managed to do this well even though Wigan 'Latics soccer side are all but guaranteed a Premier League Berth...

Imagine the potential impact 3 test matches on home soil could have for NRL clubs!

Bradford are reporting a 20% increase on the same period last year.

Salford are reporting a 150% increase on the same period last year

No figures from Leeds yet but they're bound to increase their sales.

Warrington are talking about a 25% increase.

Not seen any figures from London yet but they're reported to be well up on last year.

All excellent news.
