An absolute thriller,
currently Wigan leading 23-22 with 5 mins to go after leading 17-0 at halftime.
Fielden almost back to his best which could be good news for England, McGuire dangerous for Leeds in the second half.

With Sinfield off the field injured, Rob Burrow misses a 40 metre penalty goal which would have won it for Leeds on the fulltime siren, but he missed and Wigan win. Hock on one leg - outstanding.

Yes, thoroughly enjoyed it.
As a Leeds fan I'm a tad dissapointed that the kick fell wide but
I love games like that. I was shaking when Burrow was lining up that kick.

I've edited the original post in case people haven't seen the game yet - a must-watch really for any Aussie viewers who can.

Sounds like a fantastic match - looks like the replay is Thursday 6:30pm Fox Sports 2 in Australia, followed by Harlequins-St Helens at 8pm.

No Tim Smith for Wigan until sometime after 15 July, as although his work permit has been approved he is now waiting on the visa clearance from the British High Commission in Canberra.

22,000 crowd as well...

Looks like there will be a three-way struggle for top place - pity the Dragons have such an inferior +/- in comparison to the others.

Catalans are on an odd point though I think, which could make the fight for the top two positions interesting...

They did, it was announced at the game as 14.9k or something like that, which to be honest was a very poor crowd and below Wigan's average for the season.

Just a reminder for Aussies, this game is showing at 6:30-8:00pm tonight (Thursday) on Fox Sports, followed by the Harlequins game.

Danny McGuire was fantastic in the second half, was great to compare him to Leon Pryce in the game which followed.
Two different styles of five eighths but both produced classy efforts.
