Go easy... A man can dream. I know Wenger would never over spend. But if we can snag at least one of Hazard or Gotze I think it'll make a big difference to our side. It's rare we ever make big signings.. Arteta was big for us...

Martin, Alacantara or Hazard are more probable options.

I wouldn't mind Arsene taking a look at Khedira either. Dropped from the National team due to poor form and a lack of game time - He'd be a starter at Arsenal, and less than 20m.

I doubt we will get him now. I think the last transfer window was when we were most likely to spend big. Probably have to look at guys coming off contract soon. Montolivo, Cahill and M'Vila are in that group I'm pretty sure, and those three aren't bad players by any means.

I actually...agree. I can't see us getting him. Hazard is 10-15 million cheaper, he actually wants to come and Lille is willing to part with him. All of which is not the case with Gotze. On top of that I actually rate Hazard higher than him. The best player under 21 on the planet.

Have you seen Hazard play? While I'm not saying he is the next Messi, when I watch Hazard play the first player I'm reminded of is Messi.

And you're one of those people who thinks transfer fee's are the be all and end all to determining how good a player is. Just because we're getting him for less than what Gotze would cost, he must be inferior. By that logic, Torres is one of the greatest players of the modern era.

Trust me, over the next five years Hazard will have a greater career than your guy.

This past window isn't the first time we were linked to him. I've followed Hazard for the past 2 years since a move to Arsenal was first mentioned as a possibility.

Wenger has never spent more than 15 million on a transfer, he's willing to double his record fee for this 20 year old. It shows what he's capable of.

I like your optimism. But I don't think you understand the difference between Ligue 1 and EPL. It takes a while for players to adjust to the physicality of the game in England... Hazard (if we do get him) will take some time to adapt... He won't be a quick fix.

Gotze vs Hazard... tough call. I do give Gotze a bit more cred because he's proven his worth in a much more difficult league. Bundesliga > Ligue 1. But in saying that Hazard is all class and if he does in fact play in the EPL, I can't see him struggling... he'll just get better.

Won't make a difference with the transfer window closing. Arsenal won't pay wages in a league won by who signs the biggest cheques, he didn't move with the times and still thinks it's 2004.
