Lets move off Bird and look for some one who can kick well and can tackle . When the ball goes to BK on the last tackle its readable and I dont think his kick ing game is that good. We need another option on the other side of the feild. On the tackling side Hilder would be good or Sullivan (who also can kick, remember game 25,2003) . I like Sullivan but Hilder is bigger. I cant remember much of Atkien from last year , for such an important spot he might be a bit green. Dall is out of his depth in this side.

It's nothing personal
It's just that I'm a Sharks fan, and Greg Bird offers us absolutely nothing, similar to Jarrad Anderson
The worry with Bird though, is that he doesnt realise his game has severe limitations and he carries on as if he were God's gift to football. He most certainly is not.

ohh ok fair enough, i think hes a good player though ah wel everyone to their own!

Um, I'm not sure you'd really want to know...

?? why

I would have to agree, that sig would scare small children.

Back to topic

Seems Raper is giving Bird the first go @ the 5/8 role. So at this stage it seems as though the 6 for the first game will be Bird. Just my observation from the trials.

i am very surprised at the anti-bird posts on the forum as while i concede his defence may need tightening , i think by the season end many shark fans will be singing his praise.
not many of his vintage can mix it at the top level and believe me he has plenty of improvement in him.
be patient!

In the Leader Brad Forest says Bird played well.

But hang on, he also goes on to say several other things that can be read at www.sharks.com.au

I usually love Brad's work, but he just cut and pasted our websites match report into the Leader. Pretty poor journalism, from a bloke I would expect better of.
