Cheese is right on the money, Frenzy, fair thoughts, but off the mark on this one.

The pride the club would lose is what is standing in the way,

Also, if they are going into battle with Anderson over the next 12 months in court, and they have to argue they supported him in the Treister, Graham saga, among other things, and they have signed Treister as soon as Andersons locker was cleared, that really isn't going to help the club is it ?

Politics have counted against Dean and nothing more. You are right in a way Frenzy that the club cannot have him back, for issues other than $$ though, and not because he spat any dummies.

Both those men watched Dean grow up. They ARE his 'footy fathers'. And they didn't stand by him when he really needed them to.

Very well said

Being a DT fan the way you put that hit me like a big punch to the guts.

The club bent over backwards for that idiot Anderson

Just on Stringer I think we are still a chance but for 2005 not 2004. Stringer wants out of souths but souths will make him finish his contract which ends next year.

While Stringer was trying to get out of his deal, Beattie was leaving us then Stringer is told he is staying at souths so Beattie was resigned for one year. I still think we are a chance...

Hmm

Well even though I can't hit it on the head, there's obviously something going on that is blocking a return.

Maybe it'll come out in the wash. Maybe it won't.

My favorite subject !

:) :) :)

HI again guys, millers, frenzy, shark etc and the new faces I don;t know yet.

I can probably shed some light on this. Dean won't be playing againg, for us
or any other club.

:( :( :(

After he was unable to come to terms with the sharks, due to salary cap restrictions, he decided to hang up the boots for good rather than accept
an offer at another Sydney club, a small offer it must be said.

I wish mate.

It's a go into business and bring up his young son type of retirement.

What does he do? How do you just go into business?

I'm sure someone will confirm or refute but I am pretty sure Deano already has some sort of business interest to go into. Thought I read that somewhere.

I know he used to be involved with some online business in the past - not sure if that's still the case though. Either way, he has some experience in the field..

He was training with Newtown prior to Anderson's removal and trying to get a job with Singo, He was the leading trainer and always leading the way in all things. He just wanted too much money from Singo to stay with us. I wish him the best of luck this year with the sharks.

HI decision to not play at newtown was not money related bluebag.

The offer from Singo was for him to work in advertising as a sale exec fulltime and also play for Newtown.

Dean chose to work for his own business rather than for someone else after much consideration to both options.

Infact, he could have taken the easy option of a guaranteed salary working for someone else and playing footy on the weekends, something that anyone who runs their own business will tell you is an attractive prospect, but chose to work his own business up into a future for himself and family.
