Will Paul Kent acknowledge that he might have got it wrong?.....

On the rep weekend. I think the general consensous is that it was quite a surprising success, so will be interesting to see if he mentions it on NRL360 tonight.

Who gives a flying eff what that vermin says.

Triple M's NRL coverage is superb, I'm addicted, but their flagship Sunday show is kent, Matt johns and Tallis. Wow.

I would rather die of SARS than listen to that show

Don't think he was that wrong to be fair. He was actually right about the crowds...we hadd a great weekend and then we have 3 games which drew 9K, 25K, and 13K. That was sort of his point. Not saying he was right to say it the way he did, BUT he has a point.

They are guaranteed of mentioning it on tv tonight because Smith is on the show.

I doubt Kent considers it a success. 400 players pulled out and the crowds were small. Apparently the friday night game rated well on tv but the other three didn't (I haven't seen the exact numbers). Mediocre crowds and ratings is pretty much what Cent was tipping. He is shooting fish in a barrel though. The games are poorly promoted and the teams are poorly prepared and sometimes of dubious quality.

25k on friday (less than in canberra last year) and 9k on saturday. The crowd on sunday must have been better than last year, but that's no challenge. Hard pressed to call those numbers a success.

Being better than the DT predicted doesn't make it a success.

No doubt he will rely on the number of players who missed out because of injury coming back to play for their clubs.

Is there a reason Fiji v Samoa wasn't played in Fiji or Samoa? Radical I know that an international RL game might actually be played in one of the countries taking part!

There was some suggestion clubs wouldn't be against shortening season to 22 games giving a longer international calendar at end of season. This would be better.

He was on foxsports news earlier this week, no semblance of an apology.

If he got facts wrong, he ought to apologise. To expect him to apologise for an opinion that artificially infuriates sheep-like people due to the over-sensationalised sensationalism of PC-friendly special interest groups is akin to expecting apologies from people who do not get 100% of their tips for the week correct. He gave his opinion. Some agree, some don't.

Realistically, for the same reason that Australia play "home" games in London in soccer.

So more than zero top level players take part in it.

Yep agree.

And my opinion is that he is NRL centric wanker, who doesn't give two shits about League.

David Smith is becoming more confident in the job every time I see him.

Kent tried to corner him a couple of times, but Smith played it well.

Kent needs to stop slurring his words. It ruins his hard hitting questions at times.
