Burt - Still hasn't made a break on his own, looks terrified in defence, missed his only duty from in front, and is targetted in defence. In the last minute made no attempt to take on the last line of defence.Time to look at what else is available
Graham - enough said, between him and Burt it was excrusiating down the left side. Made a break and then didnt attack the defence, slowed to look for support and the opportunity was gone
Cayless - hands like feet, works hard but nothing doing
Tsoulos - too slow, has promise but the game is a bit quick for him, harsh you may say
Morris- needs to lift quickly as he is taking up space at the moment
Brian Smith - is he really with us at the moment, did I sense a ' oh well, whats the problem " at his post match interview

I though the reason we didnt sign anyone so we could start the season with coordination and teamwork " oh really"

You forgot Robinson and Ben Smith.

I think Robinson and Ben Smith add something though. They aren't the ones letting us down. Robbo is quiet in attack but has an awesome tackling technique- he isn't setting the world on fire but he hasa go and contributes.

As for Ben Smith- what lines is he supposed to run when a different person gives him the ball every time he gets it? Who's playing half? Morris? Burt? T.Smith? PJ? Piggy? Even dropsy Cayless wants to get in there at times. I think Chad and Ben are doing as well as they can under the circumstances- they have a dig at the very least.

Robinson at least has a dig every week, not my favourite player, but gives his all and doesnt perform as badly as the others

Ben Smith at least attacks in defence, Burt is embarrassing and has no right to be picked every week, his goalkicking isnt that good and his general play is substandard. Anyone know why John Williams didnt play Friday night?

Vella has a go, he is joint lreading tryscorer, not that it means much in our team at the moment

Sorry - I was watching the game with a Bronco supporter and we both thought that Burt was one of our better players.

Thats cool- you and Brian are entitled to your opinion. Which of his runs impressed you the most? The one where he kicked with noone in front of him? or the one were he looked to scoot away from dummy half and caught the marker napping and gained 1 metre? Or was it his run down field where he got to with 20 of the Broncos try line and managed to get tackled 40 out?

He also has an incredible knack of playing the ball on the exact same blade of grass as the previous play the ball. The last guy to get tackled better watch out or Burt will squash down in the next tackle on top of him.

He's absolutely sh!thouse.

I suppose the run that led to Ben's try was a fluke, then...

Whoever thinks that Burt and Graham should still be in the side have f*cking rocks in their head. Others you can argue about. But not these 2.

Im surprised no one has said Peterson. What he came out with today was rubbish. Running side ways and silly flick passes.

I agree with Graham, once Hodges got passed him there was no despartion from Graham to chase.

Cayless is out of form. Morris i think hasnt done much wrong. Set up a good try with a leathal Bullet pass.

I thought Tsoulos had a good game. Heavily involved early in the game which is what you want from your Props and Put the number 1 prop in the game on his arse very hard.

Ben Smith, Every time he got the ball he made decent ground. Give the kid a break.

Chad Robinson, Outstanding tackling technique. Shoulder first into the torso of opposition forwards. Should take Sharps job as defencive coach.

That was the one where he somehow managed to get to within 20metres and then lost another 20. What a winger. FFS if I was out on the wing I would've got as far as him, it wasn't a good first grade wingers run....he had open pasture and still couldn't pin th ears back and score. He is bloody hopeless! He'll def be there again next week. Have you ever seen Burt stand up and be counted when we need it? Has he ever had a great game when the team has struggled?

The only time he plays solid is when we're blowing the opposition away. Luke Burt is not going to deliver for you when it matters- and to save someone saying he once kicked a goal to win us a game in a round 5 match against the Northern Eagles I've said it for you. The highlight of his 125 first grade games- fkn says it all.

* Ben will be back to his best playing alongside Grothe.

* Petersen and Graham try hard but are not that good.

* Drop Cayless - he is out of form and costing us.

* START Morris at 5/8 with Smith.

Funny that. I've been thinking that for years for all Brian Smith coached backs.

They now all know how Wendall and Lote feel playing rugby.

O'Dwyer really impressed me today. He ran hard on good lines. Something Widders used to do. Tim Smith needs runners running deep from a running start, not half flat footed straight into 2 or 3 defenders.

I really like how lockyer passes to a running second man. The 1st runner acts as a decoy and sucks in defenders and the second, who receives the ball, is running at good speed with room to move.

That's how I would like Smith to pass to Tahu, Grothe, Ben Smith, et al.
