Will this be the first GF side not to produce an ozzie rep.

As a WTs supporter I am struggling to find someone from the side that would make the starting line up for the ozzies . Is this a first for a grand final side ?

If Andrew Johns is unavailable for the First test, Scott Prince should wear the number 7.

Hodgson could get backup duties to Minichellio
and as said if Johns doesn't play then Prince might get the nod ahead of Gower

Surely Prince HAS to be there, at least for the NZ test. But besides him, who else could you pick? Hodgson will lose out to Minichello (Only hope would be Mini moving to wing, but that won't happen) and I can't really think of anyone else who could crack in.

Mr B, that is a top picture of Da Finchy in his 2006 attire.

If you mean players that havent represented Australia before, yeah probably the first but I think Balmain in 1969 had hardly any rep players, it was a young and inexperienced side who came from no where to take the title under a first year coach. Thats why to this day its still judged the greatest upset in GF history.

Richards(if his leg isn't broken) for the wing. Farrah as back-up hooker. Prince as back-up halfback

Richards I thought was a good chance but after tonight that hope is all but gone .We will have Fats and Deno in the kiwi squad .

Prince,Hodgson,Heignington, and one of Payten\Skandallis could push for spots

no not Henington or Payton lol i think Galea has more chance than both

i would probley pick Galea/Hodgson/Skando/Lafranchi(tigers most consistant forward)/Farah(back up hooker)

Newtown in '81 produced no new rep players -although Tommy was a test man before joining.

Wests have a large Kiwi contingent - so there is your rep component. I agree with the remarks about Prince, although he certainly wasn't dominant tonight, and he didn't bury Barret's credentials. He has to have a big one next week to go.

Richards should be under Grothe for consideration. Then there is the ankle...:(

I'd take Robbie Farah. Forget thie Creagh/Young rubbish. Farah's the future.

I disagree about your comment re; Prince, his long kicking game was amazing, he kept the Dragons pinned in their 20 metre zone. Skando deserves a spot in the squad but politics will ensure a couple aging Bronco's will go. Robbie Farah is no hope, Gower will be the backup hooker as he can fill the half and 5/8 positions if needed.. No need for 2 specialist hookers..

Can I just say I am thoroughly annoyed at the authors use of "Ozzie"

We are AUSSIES or AUSTRALIANS!

Yeah, I stand corrected re Princes kicking game. It was all class, caused Saints no end of problems.

Prince is the Tigers best chance of a tour, but with Johns and surprisingly Thurston in the picture, he certainly isn't a shoe it. It's a pity for his sake that he didn't get an Origin gone this year.

Hypothetical - the test spot could come down to Price v Thurston in the GF.

Based on the hypothetical possibility that the Eels team bus is hit by fallen space junk on the way to Telstra Stadium. Prince is more of a structured player, whilst Thurston is a little more ad-lib.. I would take Prince over Thurston any day.
