Will we lose players

Heard Dykes might be out next week with a calve injury..Gallen is also apparently on report for a head high tackle.

I know we didnt need LOMU in the 64 to 8 win over Penrith, however is their truth in the rumor that he will no longer be playing for the Jets again. Apparently Cronulla have released him and he may go to Canberra after June 30. ( In which case we will probably be playing against him, next time we take on Canberra ).

Recall we also have a player on report from our Premier league clash with Penrith last weekend.

If so, who will we lose to 1sts, and who will be most likely to step up from the all conquering Jim Beam side.......

Could this be Alfie's chance already, or will others ( more fairly ) I geuss get the go ahead. Hard to go buy Alfs 18 points against Asquith in his return game in the Royal Blue too I suppose.

Parra is the biggest game of the season going off current form/stats.

We will need a strong team, in what will be our most important game thus far, this season.

On paper it will be the toughest ask since the Manly game. Mentally this side will be a different one to that which faced Manly. I'm sure the boys will put in a solid performance. The club has a lot of depth.

Hey where is Alfie DUNCAN, figure he is not injured as kicked seven from seven on weekend.

What ever happened to Hamilton HUGHES. He has been missing for several weeks now, has he not ??? Is he injured or something ???

I don't know if Alf was injured but he could be forced out by the Points system in JBC. Having played PL and NRL he'd be worth a few - maybe a few to many to have on your wing.

This is a hindrance for JBC. It wants to be a development league (hence the points) but would be better off if there was an open system. In the system the real development bypasses JBC and goes Flegg ==> PL ==> NRL. JBC is doubling up with a points system.

I just wonder who will do the kicking.

Well he played last week Jeffles, so must be eligable ???

Anyone is eligible. Even Kangaroo captains can play JBC. It's just that the team has to make the Points requirement. Say Alf was in the side and the team's points added up to 104. They'd have to change the side.

Looking at the whole side the staff probably thought that the best player to sacrifice would be a winger to bring the team down to 100 points.

I'm just speculating. It's not fair but that's the JBC.

It is rare for a JBC side to be the best side a club has available. They are constrained by the points. Every club is. And this isn't the first time for Newtown.

Well the line up for Jim Beam this week is similar to the team they had last week. So if he played last week should play again.

Why would you eliminate the player who scored a try and 7 from 7 goals anyway. That does not make any sense. If he kicked 7 from 7 it would suggest that unless he got injured in the dying seconds, that he may either have the flu or was placed on report.

Cant see they would leave a player out that scored almost half of the Jets points. Would they not leave others first. Does anyway know why he is not playing. ????

that's amazing Jeffles, I didn't get to go, but I'm glad they still won.
next trip I'll probably make is to Toyota Park in round 19, against the Knights, I live too far away to go to most of the games. The last time I saw the Jets play was back in round two, I cried all the way home, the Manly fans calling me a loser, and spitting at me, lets just say, they weren't a nice bunch of people

the highlight of that day, would have been Vince Mellars' try, right next to where I was sitting, that was the best part, of a really bad day, it was the only thing that made me smile
