I thought he was really good in a side that had no dummy-half whatever; had a string of penalties go against them; and had bugger all possession.
They never stopped trying, though. Playing arguably the best team in the comp, I thought it was a commendable effort against the odds.

Deserves his own thread. What an absolute freak this guy is. Pure class.

He single handedly gave city the draw in City v Country with 2 moments of sheer class and last night we saw his amazing ability in action. I can't believe some merkins on here just this week were saying we should offload him to keep some of our forwards. fmd.

He is one of our best signings ever. He is now having more of an impact then Peats. In fact his last two games has shown that he is right back to his pre-door knocking form. Getting better every week.

Go Hoppa !!!!

I feel dirty just saying this
But both he and Hayne off contract next year
Hayne will be 28 when 2016 starts and has shown a propensity to get injured recently.
Hoppoate will be 23 when 2016 starts

If it came down to a choice, would we ever consider letting Hayne walk?

Methinks we'll have at least 2 players in Origin...

But then where is Dugan going to play? Maybe we'll have full squad during Origin period

We should be able to re-sign both. If its true that Hoppa is getting nowhere near the rumoured $800k, then it shouldn't be an issue if he is happy with us.

salary cap keeps going up and hayne gets long serving players allowance.

there should be enough wiggle room for the club to hopefully keep both if they are happy at the club, which it looks like most of the players are.

Hayne is a ball player and runner.

At the moment, Hoppa hasnt showed any ball playing ability

He must have a fair few try assists so far. I'd say that line breaks were lacking rather than ball playing.

at this point in time, I havent seem him do what Hayne can do. There are far less Ball playing players than elusive runners

Simple we just keep both, these are two of the more marketable players in the game.

We should have no problems getting 3rd party agreements for them.

I would be disappointed if we don't have both Hayne & Hoppa re-signed before the end of the season.

Don't need it dragging on into the pre-season and early rounds next year.

It could also provide some relief in next years cap, as we can change payment terms when re-contracting/upgrading and potentially defer some of the payments (yes I know back-ending has got us in the this position but you wouldn't mind doing it for your top 2 players)

This

Its not a competition about who is the best

We should be able to keep them both and with the new NRL salary cap rules, we can slot Izzy in there too when Tonga retires.
