What a gentleman, champion and role model for the game.

"Blessed to be playing with the Parramatta Eels"

I have no doubts he will become one of, if not, our best buy ever

Yeh. Top story. Top bloke.
I pacifically liked the youth group bit that he runs every week. A good example to the youngens.

I reckon there's a chance we'll lose him after this contract. If he's on anything close to what is rumoured, he's on too much for an outside back. Any club that needs a fullback will be better placed to pay him what he's worth.

And we don't need another fullback.

And we are blessed to have him at our club.

Expect bigger and better things from him. Amazing thing is he only 21, turning 22 this year.

Hoppa is 5 yrs younger than Hayne, I think would be wise to keep a hold of him even if meant playing in centres on big $$ for an extra season than move Hayne to 5/8.

And if we're winning premierships, or up thereabouts, there's a good chance we'll keep him.

That's true. Because winning premierships never forced clubs to lose players when their prices were driven up.

We've been raped by the salary cap any time we even got close to a premiership.

Simple, in a couple of years, Hayne 6, Hopoate 1........Hayne always said he will end up there......might just work out for us!

Great thread. He is great in every way. I just hope we hold onto him until he retires.

Mate, you keep what wins you premierships. Haven't seen many Roosters players looking to leave. If they are under the cap to win, they can be under the cap the following season. If a players price goes up, you replace them with a similar standard developing up and comer that comes cheaper.

There is no way whilst Arthur is here that he will ever leave us. It is Arthur, Hayne and Hopoate's destiny to lead us to a premiership and it will happen within the first term of Arthur's contract.

Andrew Fifita has certainly come a long way since scoring nine tries on the Hay Park Oval playing Rugby Union for Griffith Blacks against Hay Cutters.
Suffice to say that he, and his brother David, were pretty much a handful for the local jackeroos.
As for showing NO CLASS. I wouldn't agree with that...If Clubs are prepared to throw dough at him, why not take it..???
As Norm Gallagher (BLF) said once when asked how come the BLF Christmas Party had prawns and lobsters for the workers "Better than eatin' pies, brother".

I agree, but that means letting go of fan favourites and replacing them with guys like Nathan Davis.

As for the Roosters, wait until they start coming off contract. They already lost O'Donnell, and there should be a few more this year.

It's just lucky for them they develop junior talent so well. Their NYC and SG Ball sides are stacked with talent.
