Straight and HARD! Breath of fresh air and you could see the Cowboy forwards flinch when he ran . A few more like him and change Saleh for Peachy and we will start to win.

By the way....can someone tell us more about Jason.

Where's he from and where did he play his junior footy?

The wooden spoon? Peachey would be carving up if he was fullback for the Roosters or Panthers.

Fin, there was a story in the Leader about Williams on Thursday. He played at the same club as Vagana in NZ, and Jersey Flegg for the Bulldogs team that beat the Sharks in 2001 with Asotasi, Harris etc. There was a quote in the article about him getting into strife fighting on the streets of Bankstown, but now he's supposedly settled in the Shire.

Looked like a normal to good first grader, compared to the other soft cocks around him!

Williams looked a lot better than a normal first grader averaging over 10m every run.
His debut was excellent.
biggest problem now is to make sure he stays out of trouble.

The neck tattoo is f**king crazy. Would have killed haha. I'm glad his on our team. I also saw when NQ wanted to try and start some blues and saw Williams they backed down.

I heard he wasn't to fit but his fitness looked fine to me. Great to see a forward running the ball hard.

What impressed me was when Rauhihi was getting angry, Williams stepped in and settled things down. He could have very easily come in swinging, knowing his propensity for over the top aggression, but he just stepped in, issued a death stare and everything settled down.

I gotta say I thought it was painfully obvious Williams and Vagana were a class above anyone else out there.

Bodes well for the future

Hey Guys Haven't been around since Sharkie's officicial forum died, but finally managed to get back in the loop, and I just had to weigh in on this one.

I actually manage a shire nightclub, and we managed to have the pleasure of Jason's company on Saturday night. Had quite a nice conversation with him, and found him to be nothing but an absolutely fantastic guy.

Here are a few tid-bits that came up in conversation -

Obviously from NZ,
Has played a heap of football with Vagana, and was hailed as his protégé (apparently spent heaps of training time with each other over at the dogs),
Was ditched by the Dogs, due to a torn bicep muscle (Typical )
Was an age graded International Representative player for NZ,
Is nothing but pure brute strength,
AND currently holds the NRL RECORD for the Bench Press at a whopping 220 KG!!!!!! (I’d hand over my lunch money too, Slayer)

This guy has a passion for the game, and shows it every time he runs on the field.

Bring on more Williams I say................ Let's have him running at the competition and down the field, towards the try line EVERY game.

I'm telling you true this guy would eat Webcke for breakfast, and Martin (Knock me Out Cold) Lang for a snack afterwards......

My kind of Forward!

yeah williams played well

ure f**kn kidding, peachey wouldn't be in their premier league sides. And Saleh played a good game for PL, more than i can say 4 peachey. i say give saleh a go at fullback for our top side

No way Peachey is going anywhere and rightly so.

Williams had awesome debut, I love they way he stops the other bloke when they hit it up. No going past the advantage line when he hits em. First grade starter next week.

It's not Peachey's fault that the forwards were outmuscled, and couldn't control the ball. The players I'd be dropping are the ones that let the Cowboys carve us up through the middle. It'd be hard for any fullback to play well, behind that bunch of limp wristed forwards (Williams and Galloway excluded).

Against Souths Saleh kick returns were soft. Yeah drop Peachey, and you would soon realise how much we take him for granted. I say Saleh should stay in Premier League.

Ive just finnished looking at the tape of the game from Sat night. I think I was wrong about the Peach. He is just not getting oppertunities. What we need is a 5/8 ball player. We need options left and right, Noddy is getting read to easily in attack.Might be time to play Sully at 5/8 and accept that others will have to do some of the work for him in defence . With more options Peach must get his hands on the ball. What would be wrong with putting Williams in the centers? Any comments?

Was impressed with what i saw with Williams.

I would still like Stuey to run with him from the bench for the time being as an impact player.

It would be great to have a player come off the bench like him that scares the pants off the oppostion. There would be no rest for them!
