I hate seeing this guy run out on the paddock for the Eagles, surely the Beav should reclaim his spot at Lock forward in the starting 13.

I dont know why Des insists on starting this bloke

Willow can play -

And can kick goals. He may not be the best in any, but the fact that he can easily slot just about anywhere is why he is in teh 17.

Willo deserves to be an 80 minute player. He is quality, not many people can see that, thankfully Dessy does.

Willow's playing better than Beaver...much better. Beaver might be better value coming off the bench providing a few good touches until he got some confidence and form back up.

yeah, would love to see Beaver get out there. his line running is spot on and his defense is second to none.

I guess Willow's hands lets him down sometimes..

I can't be ar*ed looking up the stats, but I can guarantee his hands are pretty safe!

He rarely, rarely gives away a penalty or misses a tackle.

I'll admit, his offence sucks. He seems to get smashed in every hitup without making more than 5m, but his defence is second to only Beaver imo.

His defence is better than Beaver, have you noticed how Willo makes 90% of his tackles in the middle of the rucck against the big guys. Hes there because he has the best technique in the league.

As much as I hate seeing Beaver on the bench at ALL, I can actually see the benefits of it.

Willow is a tireless worker, does a great job at mopping up halfbreaks and that sort of thing.

Also, Manly lose a lot of impact when King and Kite go off, and Bryant/Hall come on.

With Beaver coming on, the leadership is still there in the forwards and there is still creativity on the park in the forwards. Beaver is offering a lot of second phase play as well, which is good to see.

Ultimately I want Beaver to move back into the starting backrow, just because I want him to walk off the ground at this year's grand final with the number 11 on his back. Not the number 16 or any bullsh*t like that.

Thats a very good assesment of Willo. I've happily put the boot into him previously, but even I'll admit Willo is playing a great defensive role this season.
