If Mason is guilty then he should own up otherwise he is just making a fool of himself, if he is innocent though then the guilty person should step forward instead of letting him cop the blame. The only way to clear this up in this case is by naming names.
Colonel Eel said:Basically all Willie did was say he wasn't the player. He hasn't cleared his name of anything. As the club is not allowed to name him if he did do it anyway we should see a case of defamation brought against the papers for naming him if what he says is true. If not he should stop making himself look like an even bigger idiot and own up.
They can supena that evidence and have it tabled in court. Then all the court does is issue a suppresion order so the papers can't print it ;-)Im not too clear on the law, but wouldn't the agreement to keep everything private make any evidence inadmissible?
Colonel Eel said:My understanding is that if Mason was to sue the papers for defamation then the papers would have to prove that he did use the cocaine like they said. They need to provide evidence that shows he did - if the evidence they have proves that he did in fact take the drugs then the club may be called on to clarify with their results.
