Just a thought, why couldn't Willie Talau be our next first grade coach. He has the reserves during even with the pressure of losing players through to injury and 1st grade. He obviously can get his attack going and now looks like the defence is in order. He is a young coach with obviously up with the present game.
I think it's time we need to freshen up our first grade coaching ranks.

WT is a great coach, has the respect of the juniors coming through the system. There's no reason he couldn't be promoted to assistant coach of first grade and continue as Cup coach.

The SAC needs to also move on to a HC role at an English club, to at least complete the resume. Ryles, had almost the perfect apprenticeship and it's paying dividends. Young should follow suit and not wait around to be parachuted into the role with us. I also think Carr could move on (by himself) to gain further experience.

Gotta be a bit careful. McGregor & Demetriou were successful lower grade coaches. Neither were quite good enough to excel at first grade. A lot more politics at play when you're a first grade coach including having to battle with the dark forces of evil, despair and abandonment (our Board).
half right, Demetriou was successful, Mary wasn't..
