Winning after a Townsville final?

Yet we've won plenty of times after a game in Darwin......
Plus is was an 8 day turnaround
Opponents after a Darwin game are randomly sampled and in various stages of their early season buildup, whereas after a Townsville final they are motivated top eight teams in at least week two of the finals.

8 days the body recovers imo.
Different if 5 or 6

Knowing what the weather is like in NQ at the moment, only an idiot would suggest backing up isn’t a factor.

If Penrith side played up there they still would of wiped our arses mate. It was a good win. But we where not beating them regardless. It's one of the best side I've seen in 30yrs. Their 2021 and 2023 side where beatable. The 2022 side was not.
I just wished we where in it for atleast 60mins I guess

It is harder to recover when you play in a very humid environment. If we aren’t willing to accept that fairly clear and obvious fact then we are all talking out of our arses.

We where never winning. Unfortunately for us when we've made grand finals we've played top shelf sides. Panthers best squad during this dynasty was 2022.
Storm 2009 was ridiculous amd even the Knights in 2001.

Really 2005 was our best chance

Comparing us to Penrith is pointless imo. Sure they would have backed up an won, they win everything. They are streets ahead of most teams.

Doesn’t change the fact that it takes more out of you to play at NQ. That’s obvious.

He came on at hooker not halfback.
I know that's where he came on - is that seriously where you would have started him, in this alternative Pou-fantasy 2022 Grand Final?
We should've f**ked that turncoat Mahoney off. He missed nine tackles the week before in Townsville. Incidentally, that was not only our last finals win, but Mahoney's too.
How many minutes had Arthur played in that position in the five matches leading up to the grant final. And if he started at hooker in this Pou-fantasy Grand Final, when would Arthur have run out of puff and needed Mahoney to replace him?

He would've played the whole 80 minutes and we would've won ffs. But BA and you were too stupid to see it.
Well it was a Pou-fantasy grand final... the only one that can see how that imaginary game unfolded was you.

Just one question - in this fantasy game in your mind, were the players wearing the white jersey, the blue jersey, the gold jersey... or were they completely naked?

I am dirty I missed out on excellent odds.

A Manly mate had Gutho last try scorer at 6-1 and Jake ruined his bet haha.

Jake would have been 30-1 at a minimum and is now a trivia question for eternity.
