f**k that, I'd rather win than lose just to see Kearney leave quicker.

I'm a supporter. I just can't hack seeing ad-lib football and then being disappointed when it lets us down during a big occasion or the lack of consistency. It's entertaining to watch, but I want long term success and consistency in my football team.
Ricky Stuart's comments the other night about coaching NRL again was a worry.
On the question about taking any job at an NRL club, he's response was that he would not just take the first job offered and that he wanted to be successful. The job would only be taken if the circumstances were right.
Gee he'll want to be patient if he is expecting those kind of results with us.
Do you think we're on the right track for that though? I'd be confident in his ability if we were but he's done nothing to prove he can deliver that in 18 months in the job. He's only proved the opposite.
I think the signs last year were good without winning, this year has been tough to stomach... We've certainly gone backwards with what is arguably a stronger squad. Club culture can't be changed overnight and he's obviously taken on a tough project due to the sh*t at the front office and the like. I would rather a few lean years if it meant we were stronger in the long term.
Whether or note that happens, who knows. I doubt Kearney will be here to steer the bus for much longer. If he doesn't and success is achieved with another head coach, whose to say it wasn't due to the Kearney influence.
I can't believe how many people are actually shocked that he failed. Seriously, the amount of people who put their faith in a bloke who had never coached (on a fulltime basis) ANY grade of Rugby League before astounds me.
Let's hope the club takes their time and seeks out the right man for the job this time around.
WOE
The thing is we need someone at the club with the footballing knowledge to identify that coach. I don't know how confident I'd be in Bob Bentley deciding who our coach should be next year. Penrith brought in Phil Gould as their CEO or thereabouts last year as he has the footballing knowledge and he identified Ivan Cleary as a suitable candidate. Guess we'll wait and see.
And that's working a treat for Penrith.

emjay, the real question is that there appears little substance to what we hoped was a good visionary plan. The team has gone backwards, SK has no media image, the signings we expected from NZ and other NRL teams have not materialised, and the fans have obviously had enough
The real stones they need is to make a decision, get an experienced media savvy coach on board and move forward, as much as I want to like SK and Nolan, we have seen little progress. The kids are getting smashed in U20s and I dont want them scarred as their careers have just started
How is their 2013 recruitment coming along compared to ours ?
