Can't remember if the siren went during the play of just after putting it down, but Pearce scored a length of the field match winner against Penrith in 2007 which was pretty special.
Panthers had the ball 3-4m out from our line with seconds on the clock, all panthers had to do was kick it out. Ball goes to Gower (who had felt up Pearce's sister that off season), who gets rushed by Sa, panics and throws the ball to no one. Wing swoops on the loose pass, flicks it to Pearce and he goes 80m to score under the sticks for the win
Witt kicked the match winner against the Warriors (for Parramatta) in 2003.
I remember NSW defeated QLD in an exhibition match in maybe Los Angeles after the siren. Length of the field.
Manly last year at Shark Park. Up by 13 with 20 to go, and lost on the siren.
God. Damn. Heartbreaker

There's only been one "exhibition" Origin game & it was after the 1987 series. It was in LA & NSW beat QLD 30-18.
Sure. But in the same theme as last year, Manly should never have been allowed back into the game. This game became extremely important for the whole context of the season.
Sharks had been on a mini-roll, it derailed and basically ended our season through lack of confidence. Manly showed they had the metal to win at any time throughout the game and went on to prove it.
Shows why the game a few rounds ago was so important to the Sharks, same position, same ground, same atmosphere, and they won.
Never discount experience.

Easts v Broncos 1996 - was that the game Andrew Gee played the ball the wrong way and we kicked a penalty goal lol
