I think we could still make it without Gallen to be honest, especially if Thommo gets back to his best.

Matt Bowen is pretty handy also..
Have you seen how Bowen goes when thurston isnt on the field. He is a totally different player, goes missing big time.

crap..most games he seems to be the only one trying anything..have a look at the game against the roosters last yr .We scored 30 pts (mostly thanks to Bowen)& still got smashed by 30.
It seems the whole team loses faith in themselves when JT isn't there.
It is a problem(mentally) that Murray has to fix or the same will happen next yr.

Every team has a key player and most simply cannot be replaced.

What are your thoughts on who is your Key Player and without them where will you finish.

Melbourne: Smith - Top 8 just
Manly: B. Stewart - 9th or 10th
Cowboys: Thurston - 12th
Warriors: Price - 10th or 11th
Eels: Hindmarsh - 10th or 11th
Bulldogs: SBW - Last
Bunnies: Asotasi - 9th or 10th
Bronc's: Lockyer - 11th or 12th
Tigers: Farrah 15th or 16th
Roosters: Not sure now probably Mason - Miss the 8
Sharks: Gallen IMO - miss the 8
Titans: Prince - 13th or 14th
Dragons: Gaz - 11th or 12th
Raiders: Tongue IMO - 11th or 12th
Knights: Buderus 12th or 13th
Panthers: Big Civ - Won't change there position too much but their heads will go down without their leader

Is there a team outside of Melbourne that if they lose their Key player for the majority of the year can still make the 8 and has it happened previously?

Bulldogs finish last without SBW?
LOL - that'll do me.

Dragons hopes rest on the fitness of Ryles IMO. He is definitely the hardest to replace in the team. If he doesn't play most of the season I think 13th or 14th is on the cards just like this year.

Exactly you lost to the roosters by 30 Bowen let in most of those tries.

we would challenge for the spoon without buderus on the paddock. i don't think we'll come close with him there though. buderus means a lot more to the knights than just his playing ability.
