What games are you watching eela?

Against top opposition Monas has done his keystone cops routine for 50 minutes before Witt takes the bit between his teeth and at least has a go.

Unfortunately in recent times his "having a go" has been far from good enough. Why do you think we're so keen to get Orford?

Seriously, would you swap Tim Smith for Monaghan?

Nah, didn't think so................

not in a pink fit!

ok, i admit i haven't seen many Manly games this season, but what I have seen is a great leader, stearing his side with limited ability around the park, he seems to create something 1 pass of the ruck and has excellent vision as a halfback. If you get Orford I'm sure he'll make a great rake.

eela -you will find he's a flat track bully. Scores plenty of runs against easy opposition but goes to water against the big guns.

You said it all - you'd never swap.

Dunno mate. Ask the chicken. I don't think you'll get an answer from the egg.

Monaghan is in the David Penna style of halfback.

A great link man but nothing much else.

Manly this year play a similar game to what Parramatta did in the late 90's

Both teams had a great back row with to old heads and a young gun
Manly: Kennedy, Watmough, Menzies
Parra: J.Smith, Hindmarsh, Dymock (McCracken was also there)

Both teams have some good fast backs
Manly: B.Stewart, Donald
Parra: Kelly, Moodie

And they both use their halfbacks to get the ball from their talented ball playing back row out to the speedy backline players.

But once that backrow is out due to injury, rep duty etc the team gets very bad very fast.

Monaghan's greatest claim to fame is failing to get out of the way of Luke O'Donnell's elbow.
