Witt in trouble

I know of better and more seasoned halfbacks who the coach buys over. BTW, Smith bought a 5/8 in Thorman. And it's Dykes who is playing scintillating footy.

Had things notdeveoped the way they had, we would all be giving it to the club for not improving the situation. Witt is only a whipperschnapper. His time will come, and when it does, THIS time he'll be a bit more experienced, and therefore perform better.

I'm rapt at the halves combo from the last 2 games. Dykes and Wagon have copped plenty in the past, but in the last 2 weeks they both have played as good as anyone. I know Orford and Gower are in form, but is there a better halfback in the NRL ATM than Adam Dykes?

Give Witty time. Like has been said he's on a 4 year contract, and the only other blokes I know fo who got them were Cayless, Vella and Hindy. That says something, doesn't it?

Barring injuries or pathetic form, i doubt we will see Witt in First Grade before Round 10. If someone is to be pushed up to Firsts before then I'd say it will be Thorman, who played well on Saturday from what I saw.

all i can say is if they are good enough for first grade then our guys should be flogging the oppistion in premmies especially with all there first grade experience but they can only manage a draw

also most people said Throman is a good goalkicker...why was Witty kicking the goals on the weekend...i thought Thorman did the bulk of goalkicking
yes HJ Witt is contracted till 2007 but who knows they might want him up with his bro and with all these rumours going round who knows? :?

I can't work out why Thorman isn't kicking :? , Thorman is better then Witt in my opinion, he seems more of a natural talent then Witt who seems more structured in his play.

Could be a number of reasons why Witt kicked

1) Thorman may have been carrying a slight injury
2) Matt Cameron is roating the duties so next week Thorman kicks
3) They have a duel at traning winner gets the duties and this week Witt won

and bound to be others I'm can't think of right now

The other reason is that Smith and Cameron may have Thorman working on other areas of his game - in particular his defence or lack thereof and his effectiveness out of dummy-half making him an ideal foil off the bench later in the season ala PJ.

From what I saw of the game Witty was playing very well and adapting to life at five eight. He tried a few things that didn't come off but he was backing himself which is always good. He wants the first grade number 6 off Wagon's back as much as we do I think.

Witty played 5/8 outside Dykes in our last few games last year.

You guys gotta forget the numbers on our players backs (to a certain extent).

Wags is at No 6 but he plays lock.

In open play its first reciever and ocasionally second reciever if required. Witty played second reciever at the end of last year, and Dykes was first reciever.

Its all done with mirrors.

I was at the game on Saturday and i thought Witt was trying hard and when he was able to get involved he showed great promise, i personally think he should be in First Grade as he would really rise, he certainly is too good for premmies and keeping him there can't do much for his confidence considering they used him last year when they needed him and now it siuts them they have thrown him back in premmies!!!!!!

He seemed to be doing alot of organising, alot of talking and showing great passion.

I wasn't too impressed with Thorman, he was quite average, he did some good stuff but his kicking game was TERRIBLE...........i think Witt will be in First Grade before Thorman.
