Where were they in the 2nd half that was a disgrace.

The whole team were pathetic!! Why dont we just call ourselves Manly.

I saw Pearson at 1st receiver at one stage.

I didn't think that Witt was too bad when he actually ran the ball but how many times do we have to try going down the blind on the last tackle. I think Thorman's efforts this year highlight the gap between the pommy game and the nrl. He was a rising star over there, he can carry the bags next week for us.

Vella, Stapleton, Hopkins & Pearson should all give themselves an uppercut. They were pathetic. Morris was again outstanding and Jack A was impressive.

Dykes is alot more important to the side than some people give him credit for. He might be erratic but atleast he can create something here and there.

Goes to show minus Dykes at this stage, parramatta have NFI in attack, hopefully with the signings a organiser in attack is on the cards, personally don't think Tim Smith is up to it week in week out

Yeah Thormann was great........it was like the Warriors had 20 men because they had Thormann and all his f**k ups.

I listened to the game on the radio, so what I heard could be different to what actually happen, but it seemed we had the chances to score points but just like last week we failed to score them.

I think one of our problems is our backrow, they just aren't mobile enough ( excluding hinmdmarsh). Stapleton is a good player but he is a front rower and what I have seen of Mucket, he looks over weight and unfit. Jack A is a great player and very mobile he was great in the last 10 minutes against penrith last week. I can't understand why smith doesn't start with him and leave him on.

From what I heard the conditions were terrible .

Thorman went allright...tried some new things
Yeah how good was thorman on the 5th tackle about 2 mtrs out from the tryline and he goes into dummy half and doesnt even try to pick the ball up but kicks it into the 4 warriors standing there, Iwas cranky at the time but now pis@ing myself laughing at that

Thorman can stay in first grade then. He will provide much needed comic relief

The forwards went alright .... but
WE HAVE NO HALVES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had no structure, we asked no questions of the warriors in attack.

WITT and THORMAN were an absolute disgrace!

I saw JT go on the field and give Witt a serve a couple of times !!! talk about going missing, Witt could have unfolded a picnic basket and had lunch .. he was doing nothing else!

and we signed this bloke for 5 years

it was actually 4 years...and it seems like since Dykes is injured you expect Witt to stand up and beat the Warriors single handedly.
The forwards shouldve stepped up but because there so used 2 hindy doing most of the work they just did what they normally do (which made it show how much we need Hindy)
And a halfback cannot work properly behind forwards that wont go forward!

NO ! I expect a halfback to direct the team around the field. To dictate which angles to run. ... to run the attack.

Lockyer and Orford and Gower etc.. handle the ball 5 out of every 6 tackles. AND do something with it.. compare that to Witt.

He is a shy little individual who doesnt want to get involved. Look even if he stuffed up I wouldnt mind as long as he TRIED to take charge but he doesnt !!!!

well you cant blame that on Witt coz he was forced into playing 5/8 tonight (well as far as i knoe)

Thorman is mostly always the halfback when he and witt play together

Witt I feel isnt playing with confidence...and that is why he will go quiet.

EDIT: I think Witt is down on confidence because he plays well when he is partnering Dykes who relieves a bit of the pressure. They win against the Knights he gets suspended. Comes back against the Panthers has Wagon helping him who is not of the same calibre of Dykes. And now has Throman who isnt a established half like Dykes

Today was the worst attacking performance inside the opposition 20 that I have seen in a long time. Neither of our halves wanted to do anything with the ball except go themselves or throw stupid long passes. We desperately needed a general to lead the play.

Well I CAN blame it on both Witt and Thorman.
Smithy is basically saying to the boys .. OK here is the 1st grade halfback spot .. who wants it ??? and really NO one is putting up their hand.

Signing someone who will quite frankly be a pain in the ass to the forwards and direct us around should be our NO 1 Priority.

If we dont grab a decent halfback we can kiss the next year goodbye. We may win a few games but a premiership - no way

i thought we had no direction tonight....when witt had the ball he was making the breaks... i think he needed to be 1\2....thorman i had big hopes for but i'm not so sure anymore......

Pearson and Vella in the halves wouldn't have been much worse

well that was half the bloody problem.....Pearson was playing in the bloody halves, didn't you see that....he wasn't at first or second reciever on about a dozen occasions for nothing......and even when he did run the ball he passed it

and Vella was misiing in action
