Cheers for the reminder. They aren't really my thing - they don't try hard enough to differentiate themselves from their influences (i.e. - if I wanted to listen to Led Zep, I'd listen to Led Zep - not Wolfmother), but live they do what they do very very well.

They're not bad, but I think they've lucked out with a good sound, punchy songs and a fantastic producer. They're pretty sloppy live (although a good year of touring would help that situation) and while the three piece thing is novel, they really lack a fulltime bassist in my opinion. They kind of sit in the middle of nowhere, between a tight performance and a looser, more free flowing psychadelic one. Although that might be because they had to fit their set into ABC's 55min schedule.

They'd need to tighten up or develop in their songwriting to have a good follow up album if you ask me.

I think they're a lot of fun. They're Zep, but the tunes are still good. Some of them sensational. I think they hold their own live too. That album has an absolutely awesome sound, one that's hard to recreate as a 3 piece.
