They're not bad, but I think they've lucked out with a good sound, punchy songs and a fantastic producer. They're pretty sloppy live (although a good year of touring would help that situation) and while the three piece thing is novel, they really lack a fulltime bassist in my opinion. They kind of sit in the middle of nowhere, between a tight performance and a looser, more free flowing psychadelic one. Although that might be because they had to fit their set into ABC's 55min schedule.
They'd need to tighten up or develop in their songwriting to have a good follow up album if you ask me.
