Another huge line-up announced today for what is, in my mind, the best music and arts festival in the country.

Xavier Rudd
Missy Higgins
Jeff Lang
The Waifs
The Cat Empire
The Beautiful Girls
Butterfingers
Bomba
The Resin Dogs

Going to be absolutely sensational yet again. Who here as been before or is thinking of making the trip this year? It's well worth it!

miccle, keep in mind that it isnt nearly as good as teh BDO lineup :p

Pfft.

All that's missing is The Streets really.... and I'm still praying that they will announce a Brisbane show.

Also the BDO is $110. Woodford, for me, is free admission :D

yes but miccle, think of the company you would be keeping at bdo ;-)
Out of the Woodford lineup, I'd only really go to see Missy and Xavier, maybe Resin Dogs, the others dont interest me at all.

Funny when i think of Woodford and Mileny I would only think of these two acts

The Waifs
The Cat Empire

The whole thing has little to do with being a BDO alternative but a celebration of an alternative lifestyle and viewpoint.

Daytrippers should really spend more time and take in the real festival. F**ck me, just go and see Chain. And maybe the Sensative New Age Cow Folk.

Worth the price of admission alone....

I agree with you entirely Rex - i usually go for the whole festival from Boxing Day til New Years and it's always an absolutely sensational holiday. Even going away from the actual entertainment for a second, the people you meet at this festival are just amazing. They are from all walks of life and from every country imaginable. I've met people from Africa, Europe, Latin America and Asia over the past couple of years - surprising how well known the festival is internationally.

I'm still stoked that all of those bands are playing, because that's the style of music that I really enjoy - but in saying that I'd go even if every single one of them pulled out.
