Player eligibility
The national team was selected to encompass a cross-section of amateur football in the United States, and as such USA Football used a strict criteria to select team members. Interestingly, this does not allow the top American football players in the United States to compete as the restrictions include:

• Professionals from any US or Canadian league were ineligible
• Player must have graduated from college—current college players were ineligible
• All levels of NCAA and NAIA athletics were required to be represented, not just DI-A
• Players must be no more than one year removed from college

Nope, but I have been going to a few games since I stopped. Then this year I actually went down to a training session. And watched. The itch just gets stronger all the time. Hockey season starts in a month so if I can get even slightly fit by the end of it I may very well go back next year. Get a couple of "D" years in before I become to decrepit. While I still adhere to D being for Dummies I figure it wouldn't hurt to see a season from the other side of the pit. Plus I always liked watching Sim smack the bejesus out of people so there's a secondary reason! :lol:

Only problem could be fitting it in while I'm finishing my degree. You thinking of a come back?
